Interns work alongside experienced professionals across both field and office settings, gaining meaningful, hands-on exposure to real projects. The program provides valuable insight and practical experience to help prepare students for a successful transition into full-time employment.\nProject Focus\nDuring your internship, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on one of the following key project areas:\nCorporate Interiors\nCore & Shell (Upgrades/Ground Up)\nEducation\nEntertainment & Exhibitions\nHospitality\nRetail\nRoles & Responsibilities\nYour internship will be focused on rotating through the following areas:\nField Operations: Oversees day-to-day construction activities on site, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards. Focuses on keeping everyone on-site safe, following regulations, and implementing safety programs.Observe and support trade coordination and construction sequencing.\nAttend project meetings, coordination meetings, and inspections as required.\nAssist in maintaining daily logs, site reports, photos, and progress documentation.\nAssist with RFIs, submittals, and document control.\nAssist with inspections, punch lists, and quality documentation.\n\nEstimating: Calculates cost for materials, labor, and time to help plan and bid for projects. Sees how much an entire project costs during the pre-construction stage and starts the bidding project & works with the client on what we offer.Assist with quantity takeoffs, pricing analyses, and cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.\nMaintain subcontractor lists, supplier information, and estimating databases.\nCoordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the estimating process.\nSupport bid preparation, tender documentation, and value engineering reviews.\nMaintain accurate estimating records, project files, and cost databases.\n\nProject Management: Coordinates all aspects of a project from start to finish - budget, schedule, team, and client communication. Ensures the project is completed efficiently and meets client expectations.Support Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents on active projects.\nAssist with project documentation, submittals, and information distribution.\nAttend project meetings and document key discussions and action items.\nHelp track material deliveries and maintain project records.\nPerform additional project-related tasks as assigned by the team.\n\nThis internship is fully on-site based at a JRM office or project location five days per week.\nWhat You Can Expect\nComplete meaningful work assignments to support JRM’s success and contribution to the construction industry.\nBuild network and brand: Develop a network of colleagues to deepen your understanding of JRM and strengthen your professional relationships.\nDemonstrate communication, analytical, and project management skills to effectively support project teams and prepare for full-time professional career.\nQualifications\nMinimum:Currently a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering/Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.\n\nPreferred:Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).\nDemonstrated interest in construction management with a willingness to learn and grow within the industry.\nPrevious exposure to construction projects through work experience, internships, or trade-based roles.\n\nSalary Information\nTo the extent this position is performed in Florida, the hourly pay rate for this internship is $22.00/hr. \n#LI-OnSite\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment at JRM without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law. \nThe salary range listed in job postings reflects the Company’s good-faith estimate at the time of posting.
