Assign vehicles and jobs to drivers.\nPercent Time Spent\nEssential Functions\n25%\nCoordinate activities of operators of motor coaches, mini buses, and trolleys to transport passengers according to schedule. \nMaintain log of scheduled runs, number of vehicles, and names of drivers.\n25%\nReview the Saucon GPS system monitor on a regular basis to track the fleet movements.\nRecord movements and locations of vehicles and drivers to inform other departments regarding current schedules and routes.\n25%\nReceive telephone or radio reports of accidents, delays, equipment breakdowns, and other operating or maintenance difficulties. \nReport difficulties and dispatch orders to other divisions/departments to maintain or restore service and schedules.\n25%\nDispatch extra vehicles and emergency crew to scene of accident or breakdown, providing location of incident. \nRecord calls and emergencies and report for all accidents.\n\nSecondary Functions:\nComplete training in data input and two other shifts including E-shift, ME-shift, M-shift, L-Shift, with the least amount of supervision in trained areas.\nMay assist with field and/or airport dispatching as needed.\nPerform other duties as required.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nHigh School diploma.\nMust possess at least one (1) to two (2) years’ work experience. Travel/hospitality or related industry work experience preferred.\nMust be able to speak, read and write in English; Japanese speaking ability preferred.\nPossess knowledge of the tour industry, tour movements, and arrangements; have understanding of Japanese culture and etiquette.\nAble to plan, organize, and assign the activities of the drivers.\nPossess accurate math skills including usage of 10-key calculator, including able to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.\nPossess valid Hawaii driver’s license with clean abstract.\n\nWorking Conditions:\nWorking Hours\nFull-time, up to 40 hours per week, Sunday to Saturday, or as deemed necessary. Shift work based on business needs.\nRegular attendance at the workplace is required.\n\nWorking Environment\nAir-conditioned office area.\nMust be flexible to work at the airport or other venues as needed where conditions may vary. \nMay be subject to varying weather conditions, but not limited to noise, pollution, dust, fumes and vehicle exhaust.\n\nEquipment Used\nSaucon GPS monitor, computer, facsimile, copier, telephones, two-way radios, cellular phones, and other general office equipment and machines.\n\nPhysical & Mental Demands\nAble to learn dispatch operations, including work schedule for each shift.\nAble to follow specific instructions and work with established procedures, maintaining reliable work attendance.\nAble to multitask and work effectively under stressful situations.\nAble to work effectively under narrow time limitations to produce results.\nAble to resolve issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.\nFrequent – sitting, standing, walking, vision, hearing, eye-hand-foot coordination;\nOccasional – pulling/lifting/carrying less than 25 pounds, running, stair climbing, bending, crawling, squatting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, climbing, forward reaching, twisting, side bending, overhead reaching, grasping, handling, finger dexterity;\nSeldom – pushing, pulling/lifting/carrying 25-50 pounds;\nNot Applicable – pulling/lifting/carrying more than 50 pounds.\n\nCommunication Demands\nConstant – requires talking and written communication to co-workers, customers and outside trade persons/vendors, talking on the
