If you want an opportunity to make a difference and enjoy fast paced, challenging work this is the career for you! \nSummary/Purpose\nThe primary purpose of this position is to provide electrical engineering support for the Production Engineering Department in the support of equipment. This includes ensuring that new equipment meets the specifications of JATM and also includes troubleshooting support of existing equipment.\nEssential Duties and Accountabilities:\nProvide complex engineering services for manufacturing and maintenance.\nMust support JATM philosophy and policy.\nPlan and schedule work and projects.\nPerform programming changes as assigned.\nAdminister process changes in engineering documents.\nMaintain PLC/HMI/Vision/DMC/Robot programs, backup files for assigned manufacturing equipment.\nAnalyze process / equipment problems for long-term solutions.\nMake engineering reports for process development or troubleshooting.\nAbility to write and prepare detailed electrical specifications for new equipment preferred.\nWrite PLC/HMI/Vision/DMC/Robot programming for new equipment.\nParticipate in run-off and grooming activities.\nAssess spare part problems and needs and make appropriate changes.\nParticipate in Kaizen teams.\nContinuously improve assigned area processes.\nMaintain data in backup system for equipment.\nPerforms housekeeping duties as required.\nWillingness and ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays “on an as need basis”.\nOther jobs as assigned by supervisor.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nProven hands-on equipment troubleshooting.\nProblem solving ability.\nSafety oriented.\nWork without close supervision.\nAbility to work in a team environment.\nIndustrial electronics data upload/download capability.\nPC hardware / software set-up, back-up, configuration.\nPC networking / communication.\nSpecial equipment knowledge (TOYOPUC, IE, AB, FANUC, Mitsubishi, PLC, etc.).\nElectrical drawing interpretation.\nLot Traceability and equipment fault networking/programming.\nCAD capability for electrical design and documentation.\nHands on wiring: Control, low/high voltage.\nPower distribution (transformers, starters, motors).\nMechanical reasoning skills.\nHydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems.\nGood interpersonal skills.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nKnowledge of NFPA/NEC policies.\nKnowledge of RIA policies\nComputer skills – Excel, Word, Auto CAD LT, Solidworks/Inventor\nEducation and Experience:\nBSEE or BA Degree in Electrical / Electronics with a minimum 3-5 years of experience in job related field.\nEquipment troubleshooting experience for high volume manufacturing.\nRobotics programming and troubleshooting.\nPLC programming experience.\nLot Traceability and equipment fault networking/programming.\nBasic CNC programming experience preferred.\nWork Environment/Physical Demands:\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
