Apply now!\nLearn more: jti.com\nProfessional Area:Accounting & Finance\nRole:Temporary - 12 months\nProfessional Level:Experienced\nReporting to:Accounting & Reporting Cluster CPM\nAccounting & Reporting Specialist (Temporary)\nThe Accounting & Reporting team supports a cluster of JTI entities by managing a wide range of IFRS and local statutory accounting activities. The team is responsible for preparing monthly accounting entries and balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing entity trial balances, maintaining fixed asset and general ledger master data, and completing quarterly IFRS reporting. It also supports tax packages, statutory financial reports, VAT return processes, annual regulatory reporting, and audit requirements, ensuring financial information is accurate, compliant, and delivered within agreed timelines.\nAs an Accounting & Reporting Specialist, you will:\nAnalyse and prepare monthly accounting entries, including accruals, reclassifications, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset transactions, in line with agreed accounting principles and SLAs.\nPrepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with JTI IFRS accounting principles and established timelines.\nProduce quarterly and annual group reporting packages and support other IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.\nWork closely with market teams during statutory audits and support the preparation of financial statements and disclosures.\nCollaborate with market and factory accountants, controllers, and other relevant departments to deliver reliable and relevant accounting information.\nSupport the regular review and updating of process documentation, including user manuals and process flows.\nMeet operational targets and KPIs while continuously strengthening your knowledge of SAP, accounting, tax, and business processes.\nSupport process improvement initiatives, assess their potential impact on team activities, and participate in user acceptance testing when required.\nPerform assigned JSOX and operational controls in accordance with internal policies and documentation.\nEscalate control failures promptly and help ensure appropriate mitigation actions are implemented.\nContribute to teamwork by handling ad hoc assignments, supporting other GBS groups, participating in local and global projects, and helping train Accounting & Reporting team members.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nProfessional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred.\nAt least 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting department or an external audit firm.\nExperience in financial reporting and knowledge of IFRS are advantageous.\nStrong understanding of general accounting principles, including intercompany transactions, fixed assets, inventories, leases, receivables, payables, and accruals.\nExperience in financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and management reporting packages.\nExperience supporting internal and external audits, including statutory and tax audits.\nWorking knowledge of IFRS, tax, SOX, and internal control requirements.\nWorking knowledge of SAP is an advantage.\nProficiency in Microsoft applications, with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required.\nExperience supporting system implementations or shared services migration activities is a plus.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting established deadlines and timelines.\nProactive, open-minded, and results-oriented professional who embraces change and looks for opportunities to improve.\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.\nFlexible, committed, and willing to work night shifts when required.\nWhat to Expect?\nAt JTI GBS, we prioritise your well-being with comprehensive wellness initiatives, hybrid and flexible work setups, and benefits such as daily meals and shuttle services.
