The system engineer can assume a pure holistic role or can be a database, system/server, virtualization or a network specialist.YOUR CHALLENGE\nEnsure the smooth operation of core banking applications, focusing on application management (2nd-level support)\n\nProcess incident tickets generated by monitoring systems and the local service desk within agreed SLAs\n\nCoordinate and communicate effectively between incident managers, application service owners, 3rd-level support, other IT/Agile teams, and business stakeholders\n\nAct as the local administrative Manager\n\nTake over periodical on-call duty (weekly 24/7 rotation)\n\nAdminister change requests and ensure proper execution of application-related processes\n\nParticipate in periodic release activities, including weekend deployments\n\nContribute to projects related to operational aspects of existing or newly integrated applications\n\nPerform routine data cleansing and maintenance of systems\n\nDrive process optimization and automation of repetitive tasks, including handover to L1 (Control Center)\n\nMaintain and update application operation documentation and knowledge base\n\nProvide support for batch job scheduling and monitoring (e.g., Automic AWA, Control-M, or similar tools)\n\nYOUR PROFILE\nEducation and Required Skills:\nCompleted IT training (Degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related\n\ncertification)\n\nMinimum of 2 years of professional experience in application support\n\nStrong Linux knowledge (shell scripting is an advantage)\n\nSolid understanding of Windows OS at server level\n\nFamiliarity with Java application servers, databases, and workload automation tools (AWA experience is a plus)\n\nITIL Foundation certification\n\nExperience in batch job support and scheduling tools (Automic AWA, Control-M, or similar).\n\nIdeally, experience in banking or financial services with knowledge of financial products\n\nProven ability to manage small teams or demonstrated project management skills\n\nProcess-oriented and analytical mindset\n\nExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams\n\nHighly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new concepts\n\nGood written and spoken English\n\nWe arelooking forward to receiving your full job application through our online application tool.
