Let’s shape the future of wealth management together.\nThe Middle Office Specialist is a key member of the Middle Office (Asia) team in Singapore, responsible for providing day-to-day trade support and controls across the FX business.In this role, the primary responsibilities include ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of transactions throughout the trade lifecycle. The individual shall work closely with FX Sales and Trading, Front Office, Operations, and other internal stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact for trade-related queries, issue resolution, and operational matters.\nFurther, the individual shall also contribute to system and process enhancements, new product initiatives, and projects to enhance operational efficiency and ensure supporting services remain relevant and competitive.\nThe Middle Office Specialist reports to the Head of Middle Office (Asia).\nN.B: For the avoidance of doubt, any reference to function/team in this document refers to Middle Office (Asia)\nYOUR CHALLENGE\nPeople management\nContribute to the strengthening of the team spirit and the fostering of a collaborative work environment\nBuild highly impactful relationships with global and regional stakeholders across functions in the Bank\nClient management (internal & external)\nEnsure the timely and accurate trade support and controls across the FX business, while managing operational risks effectively\nRegularly consult with front representatives to be kept updated of FX business needs/demands and take appropriate measures to fulfil them, where relevant\nPerform post trade activities, e.g. exception handling and issue investigation, etc.\nHandle queries from FX sales/trading, Front Office, Operations and external counterparties/brokers\nBusiness management\nSupport the team’s financial and strategic objectives and operational goals, driving business outcomes and results\nIdentify opportunities to enhance functional efficiency and productivity, proposing process improvements and workflow optimisations, where relevant/appropriate\nConduct regular control checks and produce relevant reports\nParticipate and support ad-hoc projects to enhance and enrich the Bank’s product offering, GPS systems and middle office processes\nManage the lifecycle events of FX products, structured products, OTC derivatives, etc\nRegulatory responsibilities &/or risk management\nMeet all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards/requirements\nAdhere to the standards and expectations outlined in the relevant user manuals and guidelines\nDemonstrate appropriate values and behaviours including, but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations\nYOUR PROFILE\nPersonal & social\nAble to work independently and in a global team setup to take on initiatives with a positive attitude\nClient-centric approach for all deliverables\nAble to quickly troubleshoot problems and provide effective solutions\nFast learner and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines\nGood communication/coordination skills to deal with different levels of stakeholders\nDrive for results with good judgement and ability to work under pressure\nProfessional & technical\nRelevant higher educational and professional background in finance, economics, business administration, or related field\n5-8 years of relevant working experience, specifically in middle office FX support\nSimple programming skill (e.g. Visual Basics) is a plus\nStrong understanding of the use of order management processes and core banking systems\nExcellent communication and presentation abilities, with fluency in English; Mandarin would be an advantage\nStrong commercial judgement, business acumen and a broad understanding of the financial markets and products\nRegulatory\nFamiliarity with regulatory expectations and requirements\nUnderstanding of cross border rules and regulations\nWe arelooking forward to receiving your full job application through our online application tool.
