This role is central to building our capabilities to serve these markets.\nThe Opportunity\nWe have an immediate opportunity to support a key client with procurement and contracts management across their onshore renewables portfolio in Australia. JUMBO already works with this customer on a global basis, providing procurement and contracts management services for their offshore wind portfolio in Europe, US, Australia, Taiwan, Philippines, and South Korea.\nInitial Focus - Onshore Wind (Melbourne)\nThe role will initially focus on the client’s onshore wind portfolio, which is primarily located in Melbourne. You will be responsible for managing procurement and contracts across key project areas, with particular emphasis on:\nTurbine Supply - sourcing of WTGs and negotiation of Turbine Supply Agreements (TSAs)\nBalance of Plant (BOP) - including civil, electrical and grid connection scopes\nOperations & Maintenance (O&M) - long-term service agreements\nExpanding Scope\nThe role will expand to support the wider portfolio of BESS, utility-scale solar PV, and new onshore wind developments throughout Australia.\nLong-Term Growth\nAlthough the role will initially be a hands-on position, we see this as an excellent platform to build from:\nBuilding out our in-country capability in Australia\nExpanding our relationship with a key global client\nBuilding a team that can develop, grow, and support other existing and future clients\nThis is a long-term opportunity with significant growth and development runway.\nRole & Responsibilities\nProcurement\nPlanning, implementation and execution of procurement and tender strategies for major project packages\nLead the complete procurement process including RFIs, RFPs, proposal evaluation, recommendation of award and contract finalization\nDraft and negotiate contracts including turbine supply, service, consultancy, supply and installation contracts\nLead and coordinate commercial, technical, financial and legal expertise while ensuring compliance with client governance and approval procedures\nMaximize value in terms of quality, price and schedule while minimizing risk\nActively participate in vendor relationship management and market intelligence\nContracts Management\nDrafting and negotiation of main contracts throughout the lifecycle of project development and execution\nWork alongside the project management team to ensure successful project delivery, balancing risk with commercially and contractually viable solutions\nMaintain continuous oversight of critical milestones, rights and obligations according to contract\nDirect and process changes, variations and claims in compliance with client commercial interests\nProvide interpretation of contracts, organize correspondence with contracting parties and monitor fulfilment of obligations\nManage commercial relationships with contractors, ensuring issues are dealt with proactively\nDrive governance processes and present to stakeholders and decision bodies including Steering Committees\nBusiness Development & Growth\nSupport client development and industry engagement in the Australien market\nContribute to specialist knowledge centers and development of best practices, guidelines, processes, tools and templates\nSupport team growth and capability building as we expand our presence\nWho We're Looking For\nWe are seeking passionate and motivated procurement and contracts management professionals aligned to our vision and excited by the opportunities of working in a rapidly expanding international business.\nDesirable Experience:\nSignificant experience in procurement and/or contracts management on onshore wind projects\nProven track record negotiating and managing Turbine Supply Agreements (TSAs) and related WTG contracts\nExperience with Balance of Plant (BOP) and/or O&M contract scopes\nStrong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills\nStructured and methodical approach to work\nAbility to project manage processes and lead negotiations\nExperience working on projects in Australia\nExperience with BESS and/or utility-scale solar PV projects\nBachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field of study\nYour Career\nJUMBO Consulting Group is driven by the vision of a more sustainable world.
