About the Role

This role sits within Jump’s Global Centralized Trading Desk (OTS), a centralized trading team that partners with each of Jump’s quantitative trading teams to provide strategy oversight and management, market knowledge, and technical and analytical firepower. Trading in OTS puts you on the front line of emerging economic conditions, breaking news, and international affairs, offering an in-depth view of both the financial markets and the high-frequency trading landscape inside and outside Jump.

OTS also serves as a firm-wide research group - building new tools to deepen market understanding, analyzing strategy performance, and studying Jump’s extensive infrastructure. The role is deliberately open in this area, letting you specialize and add value wherever you see fit.

What You’ll Do

Within this role you will develop skills to manage risk, debug challenging infrastructure issues, and ultimately fine-tune algorithmic strategies on-the-fly to ensure optimal performance in reaction to constantly changing markets.

Skills You’ll Need

• At least 3+ years of programming / software engineering experience - Python and/or C++
• Highly analytical mind - capable of thinking critically, identifying patterns, and making decisions
• Inquisitive and self-driven - keen to dive into the complex world of HFT and find ways to improve the business
• Strong desire to learn about the financial markets (both microstructure and macro)
• Good understanding of Linux administration
• Good knowledge of IP networks
• Strong communication / written skills - able to travel and network within a global organization

Annual Base Salary Range

$175,000—$200,000 USD
