Help lead a thriving OSHC community at Chapel Hill or Brookfield!

Helping Hands Chapel Hill and Brookfield are seeking two inspiring and motivated OSHC Assistant Coordinators to join our growing services. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll shape culture, drive quality, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.

We have two permanent, part-time opportunities available:

  • Chapel Hill: 20 hours per week
  • Brookfield: 25 hours per week

Both positions work across split shifts, Monday to Friday. This is the perfect opportunity for an education, psychology, social work or healthcare student as we work around your busy schedule.

Service hours include:

  • Rise Then Shine: 6:30am - 9:00am
  • Stay and Play: 2:30pm - 6:00pm
  • School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am - 6:00pm

About Helping Hands Chapel Hill

Chapel Hill Helping Hands welcomes up to 100 children each afternoon in a fun, energetic and nature-inspired environment. The service has a dedicated OSHC space, with access to shared indoor and outdoor areas that encourage exploration and play.

About Helping Hands Brookfield

Helping Hands Brookfield is a thriving service with afternoon attendances ranging from 30-80 children, located within a beautiful school and welcoming school community. The service is backed by a positive team culture and a group of educators who are eager to learn, grow and develop their skills.

About your new role

As an Assistant Coordinator, you’ll help lead a team of passionate Educators and oversee an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership:

  • Design and help lead a vibrant, child-centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
  • Assist with rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration.
  • Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
  • Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
  • Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager, so you’re never doing it alone.

Who are we looking for?

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:

  • Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance withACECQA
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
  • Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact
  • Communicates clearly and confidently
  • Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check
  • Has Australian work rights
