We also have physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.\nAbout your role\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Technical Lead to architect, design, and oversee the development of scalable web applications and distributed systems. The ideal candidate brings strong backend expertise in Python (FastAPI preferred) or Java, combined with solid frontend development experience using ReactJS and TypeScript.\nThis role will lead the design and delivery of end-to-end systems-from user-facing applications to backend services and cloud infrastructure. You will guide engineering teams, drive architectural decisions, and ensure best practices across the full software development lifecycle.\nExperience leveraging AI tools and building AI-driven solutions will be a significant advantage, especially for developing intelligent features, automation, and data-driven capabilities within products.\nWhat you’ll do\nTechnical Leadership\nLead the architecture and design of full-stack applications, including frontend interfaces, backend services, and cloud infrastructure.\n\nProvide hands-on technical guidance to engineering teams and mentor developers across frontend and backend domains.\n\nDefine coding standards, enforce code quality, and conduct thorough code reviews.\n\nDrive end-to-end delivery, from architecture and development to deployment and maintenance.\n\nBackend Engineering & API Development\nArchitect and build backend services using Python/FastAPI (preferred) or Java (Spring Boot/Quarkus).\n\nDesign and implement scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs with a strong focus on performance, security, and maintainability.\n\nBuild asynchronous processing pipelines and microservices using tools like Celery, RabbitMQ, Redis, or similar message brokers.\n\nDesign efficient database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.\n\nImplement caching strategies and optimize backend services for high throughput and reliability.\n\nFrontend Development\nDevelop modern web applications using ReactJS and TypeScript.\n\nDesign reusable UI components and scalable frontend architecture.\n\nImplement state management, API integrations, and responsive user interfaces.\n\nCollaborate closely with design and product teams to deliver intuitive user experiences.\n\nEnsure frontend applications maintain high standards of performance, accessibility, and maintainability.\n\nCloud & DevOps\nDeploy, manage, and optimize applications on AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.).\n\nImplement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and environment provisioning.\n\nUse Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and microservice orchestration.\n\nEnsure system observability through logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing.\n\nArchitecture & System Design\nLead discussions on scalability, distributed architecture, caching strategies, and event-driven patterns.\n\nDesign full-stack solutions that balance performance, reliability, and user experience.\n\nDrive adoption of cloud-native architectures and modern engineering practices.\n\nEnsure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards.\n\nAI & Intelligent Systems (Advantage)\nLeverage modern AI tools and frameworks to enhance developer productivity and product capabilities.\n\nContribute to or lead the development of AI-powered features, such as intelligent search, conversational interfaces, recommendation systems, or automation tools.\n\nWork with technologies such as LLMs, embeddings, semantic search, and RAG pipelines where relevant.\n\nEvaluate opportunities to integrate AI-driven capabilities into existing products and workflows.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.\n\n8-10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role.\n\nStrong expertise in:\nPython (FastAPI preferred) OR Java\n\nReactJS and TypeScript\n\nREST and GraphQL API development\n\nAsynchronous processing (Celery or similar)\n\nAWS cloud services\n\nDocker, Kubernetes, and containerization\n\nSolid understanding of:\nMicroservices architectures\n\nDistributed systems design\n\nSQL and NoSQL databases\n\nCI/CD pipelines\n\nNice to
