We also have physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.\nAbout the role\nWe’re looking for a Technical Lead to join our Platform team. The Platform team builds and maintains foundational services like Identity and Access management, authorization, Search, and API infrastructure, while also developing tools, frameworks, and enhancements to improve the developer experience across the entire software development lifecycle.\nWhat you’ll do\nWork with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn our product and technical vision into code.\n\nAdvocate for and implement modern architectural patterns.\n\nExtend existing functionality to handle our rapidly increasing scale.\n\nMonitor and optimize database queries to increase performance.\n\nCreate internal tools to support other engineers and other departments, to make their jobs more efficient.\n\nProduce high-quality, thoroughly tested code and perform code reviews for colleagues.\n\nProvide guidance, documentation, and support to product teams using the platform.\n\nUse observability tools to measure and enhance frontend application performance and reliability.\n\nWork closely with product engineers to align on platform improvements.\n\nQualifications\n6-10 years of experience designing, building, and supporting large scale systems in production.\n\nExpertise in Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Pyramid, Django.\n\nExperience with SQL database schema design and query optimizations.\n\nExperience with cloud technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes.\n\nExperience with continuous integration and Infrastructure as Code.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.\n\nPassion for improving developer experience through better tooling, automation, and documentation.\n\nYou are flexible and adaptable-you will be juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment.\n\nNice to Have and AI Experience\nExperience working on a Platform team/building tools for other developers.\n\nExperience building products or tools using GenAI/LLMs.\n\nExperience working with GraphQL.\n\nExperience decomposing a large monolith into microservices.\n\nAbility to critically evaluate AI-generated code and outputs, including identifying failure modes, regressions, and edge cases introduced by AI-assisted development\n\nExperience building and shipping production-grade software using AI-assisted workflows across the full SDLC\n\nHands-on experience developing or integrating LLM-powered systems (e.g., agents, copilots, tool-using workflows, or multi-step reasoning systems)\n\nFamiliarity with patterns such as tool-calling agents, planning/execution loops, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)\n\nDemonstrated ability to leverage modern AI tools to improve development velocity, code quality, and problem-solving\n\nExperience contributing to AI-powered features (e.g., intelligent search, conversational interfaces, recommendations, automation)\n\nWorking knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, semantic search, and RAG pipelines\n\nAbility to identify and evaluate opportunities to integrate AI capabilities into products and
