We’re entering a new stage of growth and are looking for engineers who want to own product outcomes.\nAbout the Role\nWe’re hiring a Product Engineer to help build and shape the next generation of workflows, automation, and AI-powered experiences at Just Appraised.\nThis is a high-ownership role for engineers who care deeply about users, product quality, and shipping impactful software quickly. You’ll work across the stack, partner directly with customers and internal stakeholders, and help define what we build - not just how we build it.\nWe’re intentionally targeting engineers who thrive in fast-moving environments and have experience operating in scaling companies, where ambiguity, speed, and ownership are part of daily work.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild and ship end-to-end product features across frontend, backend, and internal tooling\nWork closely with Customers and internal stakeholders to define product features, build prototypes and solutions end to end.\nTalk directly with users and government stakeholders to understand workflows and pain points\nOwn projects from discovery through launch and iteration\nDesign scalable systems, APIs, workflows, and data models\nRapidly prototype AI-enabled features and operational tooling\nImprove developer experience, product reliability, and system performance\nWhat We’re Looking For\n4+ years of software engineering experience combined with product ownership\nExperience working with customers and stakeholders to identify product vision \nStrong full-stack development experience with modern web technologies\nExperience working in high-ownership startup or growth-stage environments\nProduct mindset : you think about customer outcomes, usability, and business impact\nAbility to move quickly with good judgment and minimal oversight\nStrong communication skills and comfort collaborating cross-functionally\nExperience balancing speed with maintainable engineering practices\nComfort operating in ambiguity and helping create structure where needed\nTechnologies We Use\nYou do not need experience with every technology listed below, but familiarity with several is helpful:\nTypeScript / JavaScript\nReact\nNode.js\nPython\nPostgreSQL\nAWS\nREST APIs and workflow automation\nAI/LLM tooling and integrations\nStrong Plus Factors\nExperience building workflow or operations software\nExperience with AI-assisted products or LLM integrations\nBackground working closely with customers or implementation teams\nStartup experience at companies in the scaling stage
