We’re a leading global online food delivery platform, and our vision is to empower everyday convenience.\nWhether it’s a Friday-night feast, a post-gym poke bowl, or grabbing some groceries, our tech platform connects tens of millions of customers with hundreds of thousands of restaurant, grocery and convenience partners across the globe.\nAbout this role:\nJoin our Courier Pay Data Science team to help us lead, deliver, and care for our couriers and customers by building high-impact, real-time pricing solutions.\nIn this role, you will develop algorithmic pay models that balance courier earnings fairness with marketplace efficiency, collaborating across product and engineering teams to deliver world-class dynamic pricing systems.\nLocation: Manitoba ( Remote)\nReporting to: Lead Data Scientist\nThese are some of the key ingredients to the role:\nDesign and deploy real-time courier pay and boost algorithms that balance supply with delivery demand.\nBuild constrained optimization and machine learning models to maximize spend efficiency and earnings fairness.\nLead causal inference and experimentation frameworks, such as switchback and geo testing, to measure true incremental impact.\nPartner closely with Product and Tech to translate marketplace goals into scalable, low-latency production services.\nMonitor live model health, triage performance drift, and establish robust fail-safes for production systems.\nMentor team peers through code reviews and technical guidance, fostering collaboration to help everyone succeed.\nWhat will you bring to the table?\n\nProven hands-on experience developing machine learning models, dynamic pricing algorithms, or constrained optimization systems.\nStrong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience shipping reliable models into production environments.\nPractical knowledge of causal inference and marketplace experimentation, including A/B and switchback test designs.\nCommitment to acting responsibly by designing fair, transparent algorithmic incentives that build courier trust.\nCollaborative mindset with excellent communication skills, passionate about partnering cross-functionally and helping teammates excel.\nEnthusiasm for agentic AI development, with a proven ability to leverage AI agents to accelerate data analysis, coding, code reviews, and technical workflows.\nPreferred Qualifications (Nice to have)\nReal-Time ML Systems: Experience deploying and maintaining models in low-latency, real-time streaming architectures (e.g., sub-second feature retrieval and serving).\nDomain Experience: Background in on-demand logistics, ride-hailing, food delivery marketplaces, or algorithmic revenue management.\nBig Data & Cloud Tooling: Familiarity with modern data stack tooling such as Kafka, Google BigQuery, AWS data stores (S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis), or modern ML tracking platforms.\nSpatial-Temporal Analytics: Hands-on experience working with GPS traces, spatial indexing (e.g., H3, S2), and time-series forecasting at fine geographic grains.\nAt JET, this is on the menu:\nOur teams forge connections internally and work with some of the best-known brands on the planet, giving us truly international impact in a dynamic environment.\nFun, fast-paced and supportive, the JET culture is about movement, growth and about celebrating every aspect of our JETers.
