When something doesn't go to plan, such as a missing item, a late or undelivered order, or a payment dispute, customers need fast, fair and transparent resolution. The Order Issue Resolution team owns the products that represent and execute the policies for how order issues are resolved for our customers, helping protect both customer trust and partner relationships.\nAs a Technology Manager you'll provide leadership, guidance and career development for a cross-functional team of typically 6-9 engineers. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Operations and Customer Care stakeholders, as well as neighbouring engineering teams, to keep the team focused on the right problems and aligned with our wider architectural principles and practices.\nWe're looking for someone who lives our behaviours of lead, deliver and care, brings fresh ideas, challenges the status quo, and pushes for bold solutions that make our customer and partner experiences better.\nThese are some of the key components to the position:\nCareer development: mentoring your team, conducting performance reviews, guiding career development and maintaining a high standard of engineering output.\nHiring: recruiting, onboarding and retaining our engineering talent.\nMotivation: fostering a positive, inclusive working environment and team culture.\nProject delivery: overseeing our agile development processes to ensure an efficient workflow and that deliverables are met on time.\nCommunication: providing clear communication to stakeholders, business leaders and neighbouring teams so engineering efforts stay aligned with business goals.\nTechnical roadmap: owning the roadmap in collaboration with the Product Manager to prioritise the right work in line with business objectives.\nOwnership: owning streams of work end-to-end, from requirements gathering and design through to supporting functionality in production.\nContinuous improvement: improving the team's effectiveness by proposing and implementing new processes, designs and engineering practices, and sharing these across the wider Engineering org.\nOperating: taking responsibility for deploying and supporting your changes all the way through to proving they work well in production.\nInnovation mindset: adapting and using the latest technology and approaches, and coaching others to do the same.\nWhat will you bring to the team?\nPrior experience as a people manager, leading cross-functional engineering teams.\nA deep understanding of software development and the SDLC, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.\nStrong business acumen, with the ability to align engineering efforts with company goals.\nExperience guiding software engineering decisions through influence rather than authority.\nStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex problems.\nExperience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban).\nA desire to coach engineers and drive a high-performance culture.\nPrevious hands-on experience as a backend, full-stack or mobile software engineer (ideally .NET/C# or Java).\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS (or similar, e.g. Azure, Google Cloud).\nFamiliarity with best practices for using AI to boost productivity, staying in sync with the latest AI developments and how they can be applied to business use cases.\nHaving an opinion and not being afraid to challenge senior leadership, with the overall objective of delivering value.\nAt JET, this is how we play\nOur teams forge connections internally and work with some of the best-known brands on the planet, giving us truly international impact in a dynamic environment.\nBeing the best at what we do isn't just about delivering on our strategy.
