In this role, you will work with functional and software changes during the early stages of development, helping transform initial ideas and requirements into clearly defined and agreed system solutions.\nYou will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, system owners, and other impacted teams to assess proposed changes, identify dependencies, and define system concepts. A key part of the role is facilitating cross-functional discussions, ensuring alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders, and communicating architectural decisions in a clear and structured way.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional in function development, system development, or system ownership who is interested in progressing into an architecture-focused role.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport vehicle software and functional changes throughout the early development process, from initial idea to an agreed solution.\n\nCollaborate with internal customers, system owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define appropriate system solutions.\n\nFacilitate discussions to clarify requested changes, assess potential impacts, and identify affected systems and interfaces.\n\nDevelop, define, and communicate clear system concepts, including architectural principles, interfaces, communication messages, dependencies, and consequences.\n\nEnsure alignment across cross-functional teams and stakeholders with different technical backgrounds.\n\nDocument agreed solutions and architectural decisions using the relevant architecture tools and documentation processes.\n\nTranslate complex technical topics into clear, understandable information that supports decision-making and collaboration.\n\nIdentify dependencies across vehicle systems and platforms to ensure that changes are assessed from a broader system perspective.\n\nContribute to a flow-oriented way of working and promote effective collaboration and good engineering practices across the organisation.\n\nSupport and coach colleagues by sharing knowledge, explaining approaches, and helping teams understand how to apply agreed solutions.\n\nRequirements:\nB.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.\n\nSolid experience in function development, system development, or system ownership within an embedded systems or vehicle development environment.\n\nGood understanding of vehicle or platform complexity and the interactions between different systems.\n\nExperience assessing functional or software changes and understanding their impact on related systems and components.\n\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and build consensus.\n\nAbility to structure complex information, define clear system concepts, and communicate technical solutions effectively.\n\nProfessional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in the automotive industry, which is highly valued.\n\nKnowledge of in-vehicle communication technologies and topologies, such as CAN and Ethernet.\n\nExperience working with embedded software development in a continuous delivery or continuous change environment.\n\nFamiliarity with architecture documentation, system modelling, or architecture toolchains.\n\nExperience collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines and coordinating changes in complex technical environments.\n\nWhat We
