You will contribute to adaptive streaming solutions, optimize media processing workflows, and ensure content is efficiently distributed through Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys working across different technologies, navigating complex codebases, and collaborating with multiple engineering teams. You should be comfortable working independently, adapting to new environments, and influencing technical decisions.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, deploy, maintain, and support backend media processing and packaging services.\n\nBuild scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend solutions.\n\nWork primarily with Rust, Python, and Java, leveraging C/C++ libraries where needed.\n\nDevelop and optimize services running on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).\n\nTake operational ownership of services, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.\n\nWork with media technologies, including video and audio processing, transcoding, and adaptive streaming.\n\nOptimize high-throughput processing pipelines for performance and resource efficiency.\n\nCollaborate with engineering teams and contribute to technical architecture and design decisions.\n\nEnsure services are observable, scalable, and cost-efficient in a cloud environment.\n\nRequirements:\nProven experience developing or operating media delivery systems.\n\nStrong understanding of adaptive and segmented streaming, media packaging, and transcoding.\n\nPractical knowledge of video and audio codecs, including H.264, HEVC, AV1, and AAC.\n\nExperience with media containers and streaming formats such as MP4, MPEG-TS, HLS, and DASH.\n\nProficiency in a systems-level programming language such as Rust or C/C++.\n\nStrong backend development experience, ideally with Python and/or Java.\n\nExperience developing and operating production backend services at scale.\n\nFamiliarity with Google
