Along with rest of the finance team this role is part of creating an efficient and effective back-office support to the Group to enable the Group to create value and wealth.\nEducation and Qualification Requirements:\nMinimum Requirements:\nMatric\nRelated BCom degree\nA minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant, with exposure to large corporate organizations or group companies.\nCA(SA) is an added advantage\nExperience in Group reporting, consolidations, and financial statements\nStrong knowledge of IFRS and statutory compliance\nProficiency in finance systems and advanced Excel skills\nExcellent communication skills\nSkills Required:\nReporting\nCreative problem-solving skills.\nDeveloped time management and organisational skills.\nMeticulous and diligent\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to collaborate with senior stakeholders and drive financial efficiencies\nMust be able to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with management\nProficiency in Excel and Outlook and knowledge of MS Office\nAbility to work under pressure in order to manage and meet strict deadlines\nPerformance driven and attention to detail. to them.\nKey Duties / Responsibilities:\nOrganizational placement and internal relations\nThe Group Accountant coordinate their task with the following colleagues on an on-going basis:\nAccountants in Subsidiaries, Associates and Joint Ventures\nSubsidiaries, Associates and Joint Ventures Management Team\nGroup Finance Manager\nAreas of responsibilities\nThe Group Accountant will have the following areas of responsibilities:\nBe the custodian of the Group’s Chart of Accounts.\nEnsure the integrity of the Group’s monthly Trial balance.\nDesign and prepare Group quarterly Management Accounts.\nPreparation of Consolidated Annual Financial Statements.\nEnsure that the Group companies complies with laws and regulations.\nPreparation of the Group weekly 3 months-rolling cashflow forecasts.\nEnsuring Audit readiness of the Group.\nCoordinating the user profiles on an accounting system.\nManagement and scope\nThe following reports need to be submitted to the Group Finance Manager:\nA completed onboarding checklist for all new Subsidiaries, Associates and Joint Ventures.\nReviewed month end checklist for each Subsidiaries, Associates and Joint Ventures in the Group.\nMonthly Group management accounts for review and sign off.\nGroup quarterly management accounts for signoff before distribution to stakeholders.\nConsolidated Annual Financial Statements for review and signoff.\nMonthly compliance audit report of the group.\nWeekly 3 month rolling cashflow forecast.\nReport of access profiles given on accounting systems.\nThe decision-making authority is documented in the Delegation of Authority, finance policies and procedures.\nExternal network relations\nBased on your areas of responsibilities the role will interact with the following external stakeholders based on the delegation of authority:\nGroup’s management
