If you are a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and you're excited about contributing to the success of a high-growth Series D-funded company, we'd love for you to apply.\nThe Role \nThe Accounts Payable Specialist oversees the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements. This role involves working with team members across the organization, maintaining compliance with company policies and financial regulations, and optimizing AP processes for efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in accounts payable operations, and skilled in leadership and process improvement. \nR esponsibilities \nProcess high-volume vendor invoices, including verification, coding, and obtaining necessary approvals.\nLead the preparation and execution of payment runs (e.g., checks, ACH, wire transfers) to ensure timely vendor payments. \nReconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive vendor relationships. \nAssist in maintaining the vendor master file, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with tax requirements (e.g., W-9s, 1099s). \nReview and monitor AP transactions to ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory standards. \nSupport month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and accrual preparation. \nPrepare AP aging reports and other financial reports for management review. \nIdentify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing AP automation or system enhancements. \nCollaborate with procurement, receiving, and other departments to resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies. \nProvide documentation and support during internal and external audits. \nAct as a point of escalation for complex AP issues and assist the Head of Finance and Accounting and Assistant Controller as needed. \nQualifications \nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n3+ years of accounts payable experience, with demonstrated expertise in AP processes and 3-way matching.\nProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, MS Dynamics, QuickBooks) and AP software tools (e.g., Bill.com, Ramp). \nStrong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. \nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processing. \nStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment. \nEffective communication and interpersonal skills to train staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams. \nKnowledge of GAAP and basic tax regulations (e.g., 1099 reporting) preferred. \nExperience with process improvement or AP automation is a plus. \nNice to Have \nSpace industry or aerospace experience \nCompensation and Benefits: \nBase salary range for this role is $25 - $35 per hourand equity in the company\nSalary will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level \nComprehensive benefits package including unlimited paid time off, medical/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, paid parental leave, and many other perks \nIf you don’t meet 100% of the preferred skills and experience, we encourage you to still apply!
