The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ground-up commercial construction, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nLead and manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion and closeout, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.\nServe as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.\nDevelop and maintain detailed project budgets, cost forecasts, schedules, and financial reporting.\nReview and manage project contracts, scopes of work, subcontracts, purchase orders, and procurement activities.\nOversee all project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, pay applications, and closeout packages.\nCollaborate closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure proper execution of project schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards.\nConduct owner-architect-contractor (OAC) meetings and provide consistent project updates to leadership and clients.\nMonitor project progress and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to scheduling, costs, labor, or design conflicts.\nManage subcontractor performance, contract compliance, and vendor relationships.\nEnsure adherence to company safety standards, local building codes, and all applicable regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in project buyout, value engineering efforts, and preconstruction planning when needed.\nFoster strong client relationships that contribute to repeat business and long-term partnerships.\nMentor and support Assistant Project Managers or other junior team members as needed.\nQualifications & Requirements\n5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor.\nDemonstrated success managing ground-up commercial construction projects from start to finish.\nExperience with projects such as banks, healthcare facilities, churches, educational institutions, office buildings, or similar commercial developments strongly preferred.\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience may be considered).\nStrong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, materials, and sequencing.\nProven experience managing project budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and financial reporting.\nExperience with subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and procurement management.\nProficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel, and related platforms.\nAbility to read, interpret, and coordinate construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.\nStrong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.\nKnowledge of Southern California building codes, permitting processes, and local construction market conditions preferred.\nOSHA certification and/or additional industry certifications (PMP, LEED, CCM, etc.) are a plus.\nMust be able to travel periodically to project sites throughout Southern California.\nCompensation & Benefits\nUp to $145,000
