You will drive the adoption of modern AI frameworks,AIOps best practicesand scalable cloud-native architectures. Your role will involve hands-on technical leadership, collaborating with customers to translate business challenges into trustworthy AI solutionsandensuring responsible AI practices throughout.As a technical mentor, you will foster a culture of innovation, continuouslearning,and engineering excellence.\nIt isa fast-pacedenvironment,so it is important foryou to make sound, reasoned decisions.You willdo this whilst learning aboutnewtechnologiesand approaches, with talented colleagues that will help you todevelop and grow. You will manage,coach,and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on managingemployee performance andassistingin their career development.You willalso providedirection and leadership for your team as you solve challenging problems together.\nMINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:\nA minimum of a 2.1 degree in Computer Science,AI,DataScience, Statistics or in a similar quantitative field.\n\nDemonstrable experience of deploying modern AI/MLsolutions into production,including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG),modelevaluation,andmonitoringusing metrics (e.g.precision, recall, NDCG and drift detection).\n\nStrong Python skills with a grounding in software engineering best practices(CI/CD, testing, code reviews etc).\n\nExperience developing solutionsat scaleoncloud platforms (Azure & AWS), containerisation and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.\n\nExpertisein data engineering for AI: handling large-scale, unstructured, and multimodal data.\n\nUnderstanding of responsible AI principles, modelinterpretability,and ethical considerations.\n\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead client projects andestablishrequirements in non-technical language.\n\nWe are passionate about developing people, you will bring experienceinmanaging,coaching,and developing junior members ofateam and widercommunity.\n\nDESIRABLE :\nDemonstrable experience with modern deep learning frameworks (e.g.PyTorch, TensorFlow),fine-tuningor distillation ofLLMs (e.g, GPT, Llama, Claude, Gemini), machine learning libraries (e.g. scikit-learn,XGBoost).\n\nExperience with data storage for AI, vector databases, semanticsearch,and knowledge graphs.\n\nContributions to open-source AI projects or research publications.\n\nFamiliarity with AI security, privacy, and compliance standardse.g. ISO42001.\n\nEmbracing our differences\nAt Kainos, we believe in the power of diversity, equity and inclusion.
