You will own the roadmap across one or more functional areas, developing a deep understanding of customer problems, market needs and opportunities, and translating these into clear product priorities. You will work closely with development, sales, pre-sales, marketing and professional services to deliver solutions that create measurable customer and business value.\nYou will also explore how emerging technologies, including AI and agents, can be applied to solve real customer problems and strengthen our products. You will turn complex customer and market challenges into valuable product capabilities, see the impact of your decisions and develop your product management career within Kainos.\nYou will be responsible for:\nUnderstanding customer needs, personas and why they engage with your product. \nBecoming an expert in the problems we solve for and “why” they matter.\nRunning structured workshops with customers and internal stakeholders. \nDefining and bBuilding solutions to address customer needs.\nDefining the benefits your solutions deliver and how to measure success. \nKnow your competition and how to stay ahead of them. \nIdentifying opportunities for AI agents and implementing them within your product area using Workday’s agent tools. \nLaunching products and features including organising and enabling internal teams such as delivery, pre-sales, onboarding to maximise impact etc. \nManaging Roadmap Delivery and managing the product backlog; Creating actionable user stories for development teams. \nManaging and prioritising the backlog to ensure goals are met. \nIdentifying and measuring the success criteria for each delivered feature. \nDefining and communicating release acceptance criteria for each product feature, including the criteria for MVP. \nMeasuring, tracking and improving non-functional aspects of the product. \n\nContribute to marketing campaigns and external positing when needed., \nAs required, stepping in to support sales efforts with product demos and customer discussions on more technical aspects of the product. \nMinimum (essential) requirements:\nA minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working as a Product Owner in a SaaS environment on managing backlog, working with development teams and building Product Roadmaps.\nDemonstrable experience and capability to successfully carry out the key elements of the Product Owner role above.\nExcellent communication skills are vital. You’ll need to be a persuasive and effective communicator with strong negotiating skills. It’s not only about talking, you’ll need to be able to listen, understand, and build on other’s viewpoints. \nYou will have an enthusiasm for new technologies and innovation and be prepared to take advantage of the flexibility provided to challenge and be proactive in bringing new ideas to how we work and to the product roadmap. \nYou will need an eye for detail, particularly to interpret supplied information and understand sources and challenge where necessary. \nComfort and ability to engage with customers to understand requirements, and support functional or technical product discussions. \nRelevant commercial experience and awareness to help set priorities of product investments and drive commercial product success. \nA good understanding of technology, digital services and trends. \nThe ability to communicate effectively with the team and external stakeholders. \nDesirable:\nPrior experience integrating AI into commercial products to solve real business problems. \nEmbracing our differences\nAt Kainos, we believe in the power of diversity, equity and inclusion.
