Join us and be part of something bigger.\nMain purpose of the role & responsibilities in the business:\nAs a Test Automation Engineer in Kainos, you’ll work within a multi-skilled agile team, developing and executing functional automated and manual tests to help the team deliver working application software that meets user needs. You’ll do this whilst learning about new technologies and approaches, with talented colleagues who will help you learn, develop and grow. \nMinimum (essential) requirements:\nExperience in software testing (automation or hybrid QA roles).\nProficiency in Java programming fundamentals.\nExperience with Playwright for functional and regression testing.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).\nBasic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).\nExposure to API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.\nBasic knowledge of test frameworks (e.g., TestNG or JUnit).\nUnderstanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.\nExperience using defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).\nDesirable:\nExperience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.\nExposure to cross-browser and responsive UI validation.\nFamiliarity with enterprise-level web platforms.\nParticipation in sprint planning, story refinement, and QA estimation.\nOwnership of test planning and execution for assigned features.\nAbility to provide clear, actionable test results and defect reports.\nContribution to continuous improvement in testing processes.\nFamiliarity with maintaining test frameworks, environments, and reporting tools.\nEmbracing our differences\nAt Kainos, we believe in the power of diversity, equity and inclusion.
