Join us and be part of something bigger.\nMAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:\nAs an experience UX Designer (Consultant) at Kainos, you will deliver intuitive service experiences based on user needs and design principles. You will be passionate about needs-based design and an advocate for design thinking and service design. You’ll manage, coach and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on managing employee performance and assisting in their career development.\nYou will be part of and supported by our growing Experience Design capability creating exemplary digital services. We are not about marketing and dark patterns; we are all about making a positive, measurable impact on millions of people through quality products and services.\nMINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS\nAble to define design strategy and communicate benefits to senior stakeholders\nCan identify and design methods of ideation appropriate to the business context and project requirements\nUses journey maps to inform business and customer recommendations.\nCo-ordinates the production of prototypes to meet the needs of user testing and development\nAble to conduct usability testing; can incorporate research into design strategy\nCollaborates to create new IA based on analysis and research\nAdvocates and promotes accessibility and AD standards across projects\nGuides other teams and stakeholders in best practice for UCD across a project lifecycle\nMentors junior team members and represents UX design across Kainos\nWe are passionate about developing people - a demonstrated ability in managing, coaching and developing members of your team and wider community DESIRABLE\nExperience working with Agile delivery methodologies\nExperience in assisting with or conducting research and analysing findings to identify content needs\nExperience working in a full-service digital agency environment\nActive member of relevant communities, e.g. online groups, speaking at conferences\nEmbracing our differences\nAt Kainos, we believe in the power of diversity, equity and inclusion.
