Join us and be part of something bigger.\nMain purpose of the role & responsibilities in the business:\nAs an Associate Workday Integrations Engineer in our Kainos EDM team, you'll be part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining a suite of enterprise document management integrations deployed to a large, global customer base. Working under the guidance of experienced consultants and your team lead, you'll contribute to integration development, support customer upgrades to new product versions, and assist with the deployment of integrations across customer tenants.\nThis is a hands-on technical role with real responsibility from the start. You'll participate in engineering sprints, work directly in Workday Studio and Orchestrate for Integrations, and gain exposure to a wide range of enterprise customers. There's a structured onboarding path that includes deep dives into the integration suite, mock exercises, and paired work with senior team members. You'll be supported throughout your learning journey, but you'll also be expected to take initiative, ask thoughtful questions, and take ownership of the quality of your work.\nYou care about doing work well, have strong attention to detail, and are motivated by seeing your work in production across real customer environments.\nMinimum (essential) requirements:\nA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\nFoundational knowledge of XML, XPath, and XSLT.\nFamiliarity with an object-oriented programming language (Java preferred).\nBasic understanding of cloud computing, web services, and integration concepts, including APIs, authentication, and data transformation.\nStrong attention to detail, with the ability to follow established processes and documentation.\nWillingness to learn complex systems quickly and work through ambiguity with appropriate support.\nGood communication skills, with the ability to ask clear questions, raise issues early, and explain your work to others on the team.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment, follow agile sprint-based delivery processes, and meet deadlines.\nA proactive attitude and a desire to continuously improve your own knowledge, as well as the tools and processes around you.\nDesirable:\nWorkday experience or certification (HCM Fundamentals, Integrations, or Studio).\nExposure to middleware or integration platforms.\nExperience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and deployment pipelines.\nFamiliarity with XSLT transformations and data-mapping concepts.\nEmbracing our differences\nAt Kainos, we believe in the power of diversity, equity and inclusion.
