We recently raised $8.5M from Joe Lonsdale’s 8VC, Y Combinator, Jeff Dean, and Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors. We’re hiring our first Deployment Strategist to help $100M+ healthcare providers drive seven-figure ROI with AI.
The opportunity
You’ll work directly with healthcare executives to identify where automation can create the most value, then use Kaizen to deliver it. With a digital employee that learns from customer feedback, you can deploy workflows in just two weeks that generate six figures in annual value.
Your job is to understand the customer’s business, identify the right opportunities, and teach Kaizen how to execute. You’ll be equally comfortable discussing an ROI model with a CFO and sitting alongside an authorization specialist to understand why a case is stuck.
As Kaizen’s first Deployment Strategist, you’ll work directly with the founders to build the function: how we deploy, how we measure success, and how we turn successful deployments into broader customer relationships. As we grow, you’ll have the opportunity to recruit, mentor, and lead the team around you.
What you’ll do
Find the highest-value opportunities. Map customer operations, identify bottlenecks that delay care or leave revenue uncollected, and build a deployment roadmap tied to measurable business outcomes.
Teach Kaizen how the customer works. Turn customer processes into live workflows, from processing referral faxes and checking benefits to submitting authorizations and completing provider enrollment applications. Help customers give feedback directly so Kaizen keeps improving.
Get deep into the details. Learn the payer-specific requirements, system quirks, and exceptions that determine whether a workflow succeeds. Trace failures, close gaps, and make sure the automation works in the conditions customers actually face.
Own customer results. Establish a baseline, agree on success metrics, and track improvements in processing time, staff capacity, and revenue. Use the results to guide expansion.
Lead the relationship. Earn trust with executives and frontline teams, communicate tradeoffs clearly, and keep deployments moving when priorities or requirements change.
Build the function. Establish our deployment practices, turn successful approaches into repeatable playbooks, and help hire and mentor future Deployment Strategists.
Influence the product. Work closely with the founders and Engineering to solve recurring problems and translate customer needs into product improvements.
What you’ll bring
2+ years bringing software into the real world. You’ve worked in solutions engineering, technical product management, integrations, software consulting, or AI deployment. You’ve translated business needs into working systems and stayed involved through launch.
Business judgment and executive communication. You can work with healthcare leaders to identify opportunities to grow revenue, from converting more referrals into visits to preventing authorization delays and getting providers enrolled with payers sooner. You can quantify the opportunity and make a clear, compelling case to decision-makers.
Hands-on AI experience. You’ve built or deployed solutions using LLMs, generative AI, or machine learning. You can explain how they work, evaluate their performance, and troubleshoot failures to make them reliable in practice.
Ownership and follow-through. You take responsibility for outcomes, hold a high standard, and help others do their best work. You’re comfortable figuring out what needs to happen and driving it forward.
Experience deploying AI within a consulting firm or working with healthcare organizations is especially relevant. Healthcare experience isn’t required; curiosity about how care gets delivered is.
