It's a great fit for people who enjoy owning data problems end-to-end and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to drive data-informed decisions.\nWhat you’ll build and own\nDesign, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows that support analytics, reporting, and modelling needs.\nAnalyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for the business.\nBuild, validate, and maintain statistical or machine learning models to solve business problems.\nEnsure data quality, consistency, and integrity across sources and pipelines.\nDesign and maintain data models, schemas, and warehouses that support scalable analytics.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to translate business questions into data solutions and clear reporting.\nContribute to data best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.\nParticipate in requirement reviews and help identify data risks early in the development process.\nCore Requirements\n5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Science, or Data Engineering.\nStrong experience with SQL and working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.\nHands on experience with a programming language such as Python, R, or similar.\nExperience building or maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or data warehouses.\nFamiliarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.\nAbility to translate business questions into clear, data-driven analysis and recommendations.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.\nAbility to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.\nNice-to-Have\nExperience with big data or cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar.\nExperience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.\nProgramming experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or similar.\nAI-forward mindset with active use of AI-assisted tools for data analysis, coding, or modelling (e.g., Claude, Copilot, Cursor).\nExperience contributing to data strategy or quality initiatives at a senior level.\nComfortable working flexible hours to overlap with distributed teams across different time zones.\nAdditional\nUS Timezone Overlap: 5h-6h daily PST\nWhy Join Kake?\nThe icing on the Kake:\n Competitive Pay in USD: Work globally, get paid globally.\n Fully Remote: Simply put, we trust you.\n Better Me Fund: We invest in your personal growth and passions.\n Compassion is Badass: Join a community that invests in social good.\nReady for your piece of the Kake?
