Looking for Candidates in the BOSTON, MA area as well as CINCINNATI, OH area.\nPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\n1.\nDesign Solutions (25%)\nExecutes high quality design solutions with limited or no supervision\nDelivers engineering design excellence\nLeads development of design concepts \nDevelops detailed product documentation that supports high quality production\nElectronics design expertise including but not limited to analog and digital circuit design, PCBs, microcontrollers, sensors, motors, and power supplies\nAbility to perform PCB layout design or modifications for products using PCB design software\nAnalog, digital, & microcontroller design using schematic capture software\nHands-on experience with electronics development and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies\nAbility to design, program, prototype, troubleshoot, and test small and medium sized electronics products\nEmbedded language programming at prototype and proof-of-concept levels.\nKnowledge of RS232, SPI, I2C, USB, Bluetooth, and WiFi\nAbility to work with and lead a team\nAbility to accurately interpret and drive implementation of changes in design based on feedback from management and/or client\n2.\nResearch (20%)\nLeads and participates in project research and brainstorming teams\nAttends and participates in meetings with clients\nObjectively observes and understands user research inputs\nParticipates in usability tests in order to discover design requirements and validate design concepts\nParticipates in observational research as needed to uncover unmet needs\n3.\nPerformance Management (20%)\nChecks work of other engineers and designers\nLeads and mentors subordinate engineers and designers\nSupports management of scope, schedule and cost\nAssumes the role of technical leader on assigned projects \n4.\nQuality (15%)\nDelivers flawless deliverables to client\nPresents to internal and external audiences\nManages deliverables and timing for self and for team\nUnderstands and delivers products that meets Kaleidoscope’s standards and when appropriate, international standards and regulations\n5.\nBusiness Development (10%)\nLeads the development of proposals and sizing’s for minor projects or as part of a team on larger projects\n6.\nContinuous Improvement (10%)\nStays abreast of new and evolving technologies\nMaintains expertise in advanced electronics design and programming skills and makes recommendations for investments in skills and technology\nRecommends process changes to improve quality, cost, and
