Billease is a consumer fintech company in the Philippines. Our iOS app enables customers to access cash loans and credit lines, shop online and in-store with Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL), pay bills, and purchase mobile load.
We're looking for a Senior iOS Developer to take end-to-end ownership of major parts of our iOS app, from technical specifications to production. You'll join a small iOS team working closely with Android, Backend, QA, Design, and Product.
What You'll Own
- Like everyone on our team, you'll ship features and, within your first six months, share ownership of how the team builds and delivers software.
- End-to-end feature development - Take features from requirements and implementation through testing and production release.
- Production issue resolution - Trace issues to their root cause, ship fixes, and add regression tests to prevent recurrence.
- Automated testing - Build and maintain unit, smoke, and UI tests using agent skills and Maestro.
Code reviews - Review code thoroughly and help maintain high engineering standards.
- Releases and hotfixes - Support reliable releases and respond effectively to production issues.
- Quality improvements - Identify opportunities to improve code quality, reliability, and development processes.
AI knowledge sharing - Share practical learnings and help the team improve how we use AI coding agents.
How You Work
- You use AI coding agents regularly. You use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar tools for meaningful engineering work beyond autocomplete. If your current employer restricts these tools, relevant side projects count.
- You take ownership of AI-generated code. You give agents the right context, verify their output, and never ship code you cannot explain.
- You focus on customer outcomes. Done means the feature works for customers, not simply that the ticket is closed. You raise issues early, whether they involve unclear specifications, risky deadlines, or bugs you've introduced.
- You communicate clearly. You write clear merge request descriptions, review comments, and technical questions that colleagues can understand without needing a call.
- You're curious by nature. You enjoy programming and dig into problems until you understand how and why things work.
- You care about continuous improvement. You're passionate about improving engineering practices, development workflows, and the way teams deliver software.
How We Work
- With AI Agents
AI coding agents are part of our daily engineering workflow, but every line of AI-generated code still has a human owner who understands and takes responsibility for it.
- We use Claude Code with a shared rulebook for agents and reusable skills for repetitive tasks. Every developer is encouraged to help improve this workflow by sharing ideas, challenging assumptions, and identifying where AI agents add value-and where they fall short
