We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.\nRole Roadmap\nAs a Software Engineer, Product at Kalshi, you’ll build the user-facing systems and internal tools that power how customers discover, trade, and manage positions in our markets. You’ll work closely with product, design, and operations to turn complex market mechanics into intuitive, reliable experiences for traders, market makers, and partners. In a fast-growing, high-ownership environment, you’ll ship end-to-end features that directly impact customer adoption, liquidity, and the evolution of Kalshi’s product offering. Your role will grow alongside the company as you help shape both the product and the engineering culture behind it.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign and implement high-performance backend services and APIs that enable rapid testing of new trading features and experiences as Kalshi’s user-base scales\n\nArchitect and maintain systems for personalization engines, recommendation algorithms, and other data-driven features that enhance trader engagement and retention\n\nPartner with product managers and frontend engineers to pilot initiatives that aim to improve or expand Kalshi’s platform\n\nWhat You Bring\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience, with 4+ years of hands-on software development\n\nStrong command of key programming languages such as Golang, Java, etc.\n\nStrong knowledge of REST API design and development\n\nExperience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.\n\nProven track record of taking initiative and thriving in fast-paced environments\n\nComfortable refining loose requirements into a clear technical spec\n\nPassionate about your craft and committed to delivering exceptional results\n\nBonus Points:\nExperience supporting low-latency, dynamic interfaces using Websockets or similar event-based infrastructure\n\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP\n\nExperience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks\n\nHistory with day trading stocks, futures, or options (to better understand the experience of our members)\n\nNYC Pay Transparency Disclosure\nSalary Range: $200,000-$280,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.\nThis range reflects current market data for this role.
