The position will also act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and provide leadership to the infrastructure team.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Infrastructure & Server Administration\nManage Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.\nAdminister VMware vSphere/Hyper-V environments, including provisioning, patching, capacity planning, and performance optimization.\nMonitor infrastructure health, capacity, and performance and proactively resolve potential issues.\nManage server hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system availability.\n2. Cloud Infrastructure\nDesign, deploy, and manage workloads on Azure/AWS/GCP platforms.\nManage cloud compute, storage, networking, identity, and access resources.\nSupport hybrid-cloud connectivity such as VPN, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect.\nImplement cloud security, IAM policies, compliance controls, and cost optimization initiatives.\n3. SAP Basis Administration\nAdminister SAP environments including ECC, S/4HANA, and NetWeaver.\nHandle SAP installation, upgrades, patching, configuration, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nManage SAP Transport Management System (TMS), client administration, and system refresh activities.\nMonitor SAP performance, background jobs, work processes, and system health.\nCoordinate SAP database administration activities across HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server.\nManage SAP user administration, authorizations, and security in coordination with relevant teams.\n4. Network Infrastructure\nManage LAN/WAN infrastructure, switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.\nMonitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure issues.\nManage VLANs, network segmentation, bandwidth, and network security policies.\nCoordinate with ISPs, OEMs, and technology vendors for network-related escalations.\n5. Backup, Storage & Disaster Recovery\nDesign and manage enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, or Azure Backup.\nDefine backup schedules, retention policies, and restore validation procedures.\nOwn the organization's Disaster Recovery (DR) strategy, documentation, and periodic DR drills.\nEnsure defined RTO/RPO objectives are achieved.\nManage replication between primary and DR sites.\nAdminister SAN/NAS storage, including provisioning, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.\n6. Security & Compliance\nImplement and maintain IT security controls across servers, networks, cloud, and infrastructure platforms.\nSupport internal and external audits and compliance requirements such as ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR, wherever applicable.\nEnsure endpoint protection, patching compliance, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.\nCollaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen infrastructure security.\n7. Operations & Team Leadership\nAct as an L3 escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents.\nLead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for major incidents.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and infrastructure standards.\nMentor and guide infrastructure/system administration team members.\nDrive knowledge sharing and operational best practices.\nParticipate in planned maintenance activities and on-call support as required.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n7–10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure/system administration, with at least 3–4 years in a senior/lead/managerial capacity.\nStrong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.\nMandate proven experience in SAP Basis administration, including installation, upgrades, transports, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nWorking knowledge of SAP HANA / Oracle / SQL Server databases.\nHands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS infrastructure, deployment, and administration.\nStrong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, VLANs, and network security.\nExperience with enterprise backup solutions and Disaster Recovery planning/execution.\nStrong experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization.\nKnowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting/automation tools will be an advantage.\nGood understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.\n\nPreferred Certifications\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Windows Server\nSAP Certified Technology
