Kanadevia Inova are hiring an O&M Maintenance Manager for our Dublin Waste to Energy Facility, located on the Poolbeg peninsula in Dublin, Ireland.

This role is directly responsible for the personnel and activities of the plant maintenance departments and is cooperatively accountable with other management personnel for maintaining continued operation of the facility in compliance with established safety regulations and procedures, Irish environmental regulations, production schedules, and output requirements.

This role is best suited to an individual who enjoys building systems, developing people and improving organisational capability, rather than personally solving day-to-day technical problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the activities of the plant’s maintenance department through direct supervision of maintenance engineers, ensuring the effective execution of their job responsibilities
  • Responsible to maintain plant availability as per contractual requirements
  • Directs the coordination of the facility maintenance department with operations and purchasing personnel in defining, analyzing, solving and repairing process systems, equipment and machinery
  • Provides technical expertise and directs coordination of department and support personnel in upgrading of equipment and development of systems and design changes for the enhancement of overall plant reliability, efficiency and economy
  • A Technical Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate is required, or equivalent education (ideally Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical).
  • Exceptional candidates without the above educational requirements, will also be considered.
  • A general supervisory background that crosses craft boundaries and encompasses maintenance support such as spare parts inventory and control is most preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills, ensuring work is effectively prioritised, tracked and delivered.
  • A strong understanding of maintenance asset management, including the governance of critical spare parts, inventory optimisation and maintaining reliable stock levels to support safe and reliable plant operation.
  • Demonstrable experience establishing clear systems, governance and accountability across a maintenance function to ensure actions are effectively owned, monitored and delivered through to completion and a demonstrable ability to establish disciplined follow-up processes, ensuring commitments, improvement actions and maintenance activities are consistently tracked through to completion with clear ownership and accountability.
