Our Finance team plays a critical role in enabling that success.\nWe're looking for a Country Controller to lead financial operations in Nigeria, ensuring robust financial governance, accurate reporting and regulatory compliance. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to partner with senior business leaders, influence strategic decision-making and help drive sustainable business performance in one of Kantar's key markets.\nWhat you'll be doing\nAs Country Controller, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial control and compliance for our Nigeria business. You'll work closely with local and regional stakeholders to ensure strong financial performance and operational excellence.\nKey responsibilities include:\nLeading the preparation and delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.\nEnsuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Nigerian statutory requirements and company policies.\nManaging local tax compliance, including VAT, withholding tax, PAYE, corporate income tax and other regulatory obligations.\nMaintaining and strengthening internal controls and governance processes.\nActing as the primary contact for external auditors, tax advisers and regulatory stakeholders.\nSupporting statutory audits, financial reviews and regulatory submissions.\nPartnering with business leaders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.\nLeading, developing and mentoring the local finance team.\nCollaborating with regional finance teams and shared service functions to resolve financial matters and improve processes.\nReviewing balance sheet and profit and loss positions to ensure accuracy and integrity of reporting.\nThe ideal skills and experience\nWe're looking for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with leadership capability and a collaborative approach.\nYou'll bring:\nA degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.\nA professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.\nSignificant experience in financial control, accounting or finance leadership roles within a multinational environment.\nStrong knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian statutory reporting requirements and local tax regulations.\nExperience managing audits, compliance activities and financial governance processes.\nProven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across different functions and levels.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExperience leading and developing finance professionals.\nKnowledge of financial systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms such as SAP or Oracle.\nIt would be advantageous if you also have:\nExperience managing finance-related projects.\nExposure to Power BI or other reporting and visualisation tools.\nExperience working across international finance environments.\nThe ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.\nWhat's in it for you\nAt Kantar, you'll be part of a global business that values expertise, collaboration and continuous learning.
