Your work ensures compliance with established accounting standards, supports timely month-end close activities, and contributes to effective revenue recognition and cost analysis across the business.\nResponsibilities\nPerforms general accounting tasks and maintains accurate financial records.\nCreates and posts journal entries and clears bank adjusting entries.\nCompletes monthly bank reconciliations and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) checklists.\nReconciles petty cash and verifies company credit card transactions.\nProvides backup support for accounts payable and reconciles Received Not Invoiced (RNI) accounts.\nSends vendor payment remittances and supports month-end reporting activities.\nInvestigates general ledger (GL) variances to ensure an accurate and timely close.\nAssists with data gathering for cost analysis, including cost validation for percentage of completion (POC).\nCoordinates with Contracts and Finance teams to verify contract values and support revenue recognition under Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606.\nUpdates job status and verifies information in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.\nFour or more years of experience in accounting practices.\nKnowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nHigh degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.\nExcellent data entry, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nEffective verbal, listening, and written communication skills.\nStrong organizational, stress, and time management skills.\nDemonstrates a sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines.\nAbility to work independently or as part of a team.\nPreferred Qualifications\nNone supported.\nPhysical Requirements\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
