Our bow-to-stern capabilities include acoustic and sonar protection systems, propulsion systems, advanced composite structures, missile subsystems, canisters and launchers, and autonomous underwater vehicle subsystems. From concept through production, we combine engineering, materials expertise, specialized manufacturing, and large-scale testing to deliver mission-ready systems that reduce technical risk and support long-term operational performance.\nIn this role, you will support contract administration throughout the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts. You will ensure contractual accuracy, maintain documentation, coordinate internal and external communications, and help teams understand and execute contract requirements. Your work will support program execution, timely contract actions, and compliance with prime contract obligations.\nSchedule\nThe work schedule follows a 4×10 configuration: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with every other Friday off.\nResponsibilities\nAdministers government prime and commercial contracts from award through closeout.\nServes as a contracts point of contact for customers, prime contractors, and internal teams.\nReviews solicitations, contracts, modifications, amendments, and purchase orders to identify requirements, risks, and compliance considerations.\nDrafts and administers routine contractual documents and escalates non-standard or high-risk terms as needed.\nCoordinates contract modifications, amendments, task orders, and funding actions, ensuring required reviews and approvals.\nMonitors performance obligations, deliverables, funding levels, periods of performance, reporting requirements, and milestones, communicating risks and action items.\nSupports interpretation and implementation of contractual requirements across functional areas.\nAssists with reviewing and negotiating contractual terms and flow-down requirements for procurement, business development, and operations.\nDevelops and maintains contract requirement matrices and flow-downs to support compliance with prime contract obligations.\nSupports proposal activities by reviewing terms and conditions, analyzing solicitations, and identifying contractual, commercial, and compliance risks.\nRequired Qualifications\nCollege degree preferred; minimum of four years of equivalent experience required.\nKnowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and government and commercial contracting principles.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or contract/document management systems.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCertified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), or equivalent certification from the National Contract Management Association (NCMA).\nPhysical Requirements\nRegularly walking, standing, and moving throughout manufacturing or warehouse environments.\nAbility to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.\nMay involve bending, stretching, lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, climbing, or working in enclosed areas.\nWork may occur in hot or cold environments with low to moderate noise levels and potential dust exposure.\nMay require use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators or dust masks, protective footwear, and protective clothing.\nMay require overtime, non-standard hours, nights, or weekends.The essential functions of this position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\nThis position requires U.S. person status under U.S. export control laws, including U.S. citizens and nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with company match\nPaid time off\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution\nFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)\nCompany-paid life and AD&D insurance\nShort- and long-term disability coverage\nTuition reimbursement\nKarman Space and Defense is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
