Through hands-on partnership and responsive HR support, you will help maintain effective people practices and contribute to the smooth operation of the organization.\nResponsibilities\nAddresses employee concerns, facilitates conflict resolution, and conducts employee counseling sessions as needed.\nSupports managers through performance management processes.\nAdministers health and welfare benefit programs, responds to inquiries, audits monthly invoices, and coordinates open enrollment activities and communications.\nDevelops and leads the employee wellness program.\nSupports weekly payroll activities, including time and attendance reporting, payroll changes, and record maintenance.\nMaintains Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance documentation related to timekeeping, hiring, and terminations.\nAdministers and tracks Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and workers’ compensation matters, including claims, return-to-work, and modified-duty activities.\nMaintains confidential employee records and personnel files, conducts documentation audits, and assists with HR policy and procedure updates.\nSupports recruitment, hiring, and termination activities, including coordination, Human Resources Information System (HRIS) updates, and required paperwork.\nCoordinates employee events, recognition programs, engagement activities, and communications related to events, policies, and organizational initiatives.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.\nThree to five years of HR generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.\nBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.\nStrong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.\nProficiency with ADP, HRIS, and talent management systems.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong organizational and multitasking abilities.\nDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.\nProblem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to walk, climb stairs, and access production areas across multiple buildings.\nAbility to work in production environments that may be noisy, dusty, and subject to varying temperatures.\nAbility to follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).\nAbility to sit, stand, walk, type, handle files, operate office equipment, communicate by telephone and in person, and lift files, papers, a laptop, and common office tools and equipment.\nAbility to maintain an on-site presence and regularly engage with employees on the production floor.\nThe essential functions of this position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.\nThis position requires U.S. person status under U.S. export control laws, including U.S. citizens and nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with company match\nPaid time off\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution\nFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)\nCompany-paid life and AD&D insurance\nShort- and long-term disability coverage\nTuition reimbursement\nKarman Space and Defense is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
