Our high-performance solutions are engineered to operate in the most extreme environments and meet precise mission requirements.\nIn this role, you will support designs through the development cycle and into production by focusing on design producibility, manufacturing process development, and production readiness. You will help develop methods of manufacture, create work instructions, support workflow and material planning, and assist in transitioning products from engineering to production. You will also solve technical challenges, support prototype builds, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across fabrication and assembly operations.\nResponsibilities\nPerforms duties associated with Manufacturing Engineering I roles.\nParticipates in product design teams and provides Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) input.\nValidates and monitors fabrication and production processes and controls.\nDesigns, develops, and implements fixtures, tools, and inspection gages to support fabrication and assembly.\nGenerates, tracks, and maintains Bills of Materials, methods of manufacture, and work/build instructions.\nSupports material and resource planning in coordination with product teams to maintain schedules.\nAssists with planning manufacturing workflow and evaluating space requirements.\nSolves technical problems using engineering references, inspection tools, and established techniques.\nSupports or may lead prototype builds and evaluations of materials and processes.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor of Science in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.\nMinimum of two years of relevant industry experience.\nStrong mechanical aptitude with hands-on engineering experience in fabrication or assembly environments preferred.\nAbility to read blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.\nFamiliarity with basic material properties, in-process verification, and validation.\nProficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\nThis position requires U.S. person status under U.S. export control laws, including U.S. citizens and nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with company match\nPaid time off\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution\nFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)\nCompany-paid life and AD&D insurance\nShort- and long-term disability coverage\nTuition reimbursement\nKarman Space and Defense is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
