You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align resource planning, manage demand, and maintain accurate schedules that support program commitments. Your work helps ensure on-time delivery, smooth production flow, and strong collaboration across sales, operations, and supply chain teams.\nResponsibilities\nServes as the primary scheduling liaison across sales, logistics, and manufacturing teams.\nCollaborates with cross-functional teams to develop schedules and plans that optimize available resources.\nIntegrates sales orders into the master schedule and coordinates raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staffing to meet delivery dates.\nCompares current and projected orders with inventory levels and anticipates required materials.\nSchedules product demand based on mix and provides accurate commitment dates to program management and contracts teams.\nAssembles master schedule reporting to track performance against business, shipment, inventory, and production plans.\nProvides input to finance for sales and operations planning (S&OP) based on volume and capacity.\nIdentifies demand levels and develops production plans aligned with customer requirements, including lead-time calculations.\nManages load leveling, bottleneck scheduling, and applies theory of constraints (TOC) principles.\nAnalyzes production floor status using input/output control reporting.\nMaintains and updates the master distribution schedule and communicates changes or delays.\nParticipates in forecasting meetings and leads planning sessions with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service.\nSupports capacity analysis to ensure adequate personnel, equipment, and facility resources.\nDetermines available capacity prior to releasing planned orders.\nRequired Qualifications\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nThorough understanding of business and supply chain operations.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to create program schedules using tools such as Line of Balance and Microsoft Project.\nProficiency with production planning systems, such as Epicor or E2.\nBachelor’s degree in a related field.\nAt least five years of related experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional certification from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).\nLean or Green Belt Six Sigma certification.\nPhysical Requirements\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.\nThe essential functions of this position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.\nSpecial Mentions\nNo travel is required for this position.\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with company match\nPaid time off\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution\nFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)\nCompany-paid life and AD&D insurance\nShort- and long-term disability coverage\nTuition reimbursement\nKarman Space and Defense is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
