Our tip-to-tail capabilities include payload protection and deployment systems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic interstage systems, separation systems, missile subsystems, shroud systems, launch systems, and payload integration solutions.\nAs Receiving Supervisor, you will lead daily inbound material operations to ensure materials are received accurately, documented properly, and processed efficiently. You will guide the Receiving team, maintain compliance with quality and traceability requirements, and partner with Procurement, Quality, Production, and Inventory Control to keep materials moving and support on-time manufacturing.\nSchedule\nOccasional Saturday mornings may be required to support business needs.\n\nResponsibilities\nLead, schedule, train, and develop the Receiving team while establishing clear performance expectations and accountability.\n\nOversee inbound shipments, verifying part numbers, revisions, quantities, and required documentation for accuracy and completeness.\n\nEnsure receiving activities meet AS9100, customer-specific quality, traceability, and documentation requirements.\n\nReview Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), material certifications, test reports, and traceability records, escalating discrepancies and supplier documentation issues.\n\nCoordinate material inspections and dispositions with Quality, maintaining organized workflows for inspection holds, Material Review Board (MRB) items, and material staging.\n\nEnsure accurate receipt transactions in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (Epicor) and maintain complete digital records for audit readiness.\n\nMonitor productivity, accuracy, and on-time delivery metrics; maintain visual management tools, approve timecards, and conduct performance reviews.\n\nPartner with Procurement and cross-functional teams to resolve receiving issues, communicate risks, and align material availability with production needs.\n\nSupport internal and external audits, including AS9100, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and customer audits.\n\nDrive continuous improvement through process enhancements, Lean initiatives, 5S, efficient material movement, and adherence to safety and facility policies.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma.\n\n3-5 years of experience in receiving, warehouse, or material handling within aerospace, defense, or a highly regulated industry.\n\n1-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience.\n\nStrong knowledge of AS9100 and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements.\n\nKnowledge of defense industry documentation standards and receiving processes.\n\nProficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems; Epicor experience is highly desirable.\n\nStrong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nWorking knowledge of root cause analysis and nonconformance handling, including Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and Material Review Board (MRB) processes.\n\nForklift certification or ability to be trained.\n\nExperience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nStand, walk, or sit for up to eight hours per shift.\n\nOccasionally push, pull, lift, or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, with a minimum weight of 25 pounds.\n\nOccasionally ascend and descend stairs or ramps.\n\nSafely use and operate a forklift.\n\nWear and work in required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, or other equipment specified by the job safety analysis.\n\nThe essential functions of this position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.\nSpecial Mentions\nOccasional Saturday mornings may be required to support business needs.\n\nNo travel is required for this position.\n\nThis position requires U.S. person status under U.S. export control laws, including U.S. citizens and nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n\n401(k) with company match\n\nPaid time off\n\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution\n\nFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)\n\nCompany-paid life and AD&D insurance\n\nShort- and long-term disability coverage\n\nTuition reimbursement\n\nKarman Space and Defense is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
