Make an impact.\nEnd-to-end ownership of the Polish legal entity, with a broad scope across accounting, tax, VAT, statutory reporting and compliance.\nBuild something, not just maintain it - lead the transition of accounting in-house and help establish scalable finance processes in Poland.\nInternational exposure - work closely with colleagues across Poland, Germany, Lithuania and the wider Karo Healthcare organisation.\nReal development opportunities in a growing international consumer healthcare business where taking initiative is encouraged.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nTake end-to-end ownership of the month-end, quarter-end and annual close for the Polish entity, partnering closely with our Finance Centre of Excellence.\nOwn the P&L and balance sheet review, including fluctuation analysis, reconciliations and follow-up across the full scope of accounts and transactions.\nPrepare and file statutory financial statements under the Polish Accounting Act and maintain the bridge to IFRS group reporting.\nOwn Polish tax and VAT compliance, including CIT, VAT-UE, JPK_V7, KSeF administration and withholding tax.\nLead statutory, tax and VAT audits from start to finish, acting as the key finance contact for auditors and authorities.\nLead the transition of accounting from the external provider to our Finance Centre of Excellence, covering process mapping, handover, opening balances, registrations, dual-run and cut-over.\nReview transfer pricing documentation and support intercompany settlements.\nReview and approve balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the Centre of Excellence and prepare country-specific reconciliations.\nOwn the fixed asset register and payment approvals, ensuring strong financial control.\nOversee payroll-related settlements delivered by the external payroll provider and act as the local finance touchpoint for HR payroll topics.\nOwn statutory and statistical reporting to KRS, CRBR, GUS and NBP.\nStrengthen internal controls, financial governance and risk mitigation across the Polish entity.\nPartner with Business Controllers, Financial Control Leads and stakeholders across the international finance organisation.\nDrive continuous improvement and make accounting and reporting processes more efficient, scalable and fit for growth.\nRequirements\nUniversity degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related field.\n6+ years of experience in financial control or accounting, including full ownership of statutory reporting for Polish legal entities.\nStrong, hands-on expertise in Polish tax and VAT, with the confidence to manage complex topics directly rather than simply relying on external advisors.\nProven experience leading statutory audits end to end.\nStrong knowledge of the Polish Accounting Act, statutory reporting and Polish tax legislation.\nPractical experience with KSeF and awareness of upcoming JPK_CIT requirements.\nSolid understanding of IFRS and confidence navigating complex accounting topics independently.\nExperience with an accounting insourcing, outsourcing or ERP migration is a strong advantage.\nGood understanding of end-to-end finance processes, including Record to Report, Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay.\nExperience working with integrated ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.\nStrong understanding of internal controls, risk mitigation and statutory compliance.\nFluent Polish and English, both written and spoken.\nPolish accounting certification (e.g. SKwP/certyfikat księgowy) or ACCA is an advantage.\nExperience working with a Shared Service Centre or Centre of Excellence is a plus.\nExperience from FMCG, consumer healthcare, retail or another fast-paced international environment is preferred.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with excellent attention to detail.\nHands-on and pragmatic approach - comfortable working in the detail, taking ownership and getting things done.\nCollaborative mindset and confidence working across functions, countries and cultures.\nHigh level of integrity, accountability and sound judgement in a complex and changing environment.\nBenefits\nOpportunity to create, grow and encourage.\nCompetitive salary package with genuine opportunities for personal and professional development.\nFlexible working arrangements and a strong commitment to work-life balance.\nResponsibility for exciting, challenging projects with a direct and visible impact on our customers and business.\nA very positive working environment within a young, international and motivated team.\nThe start-up spirit of a growing business combined with the scale, resources and stability of a larger international organisation with strong values.\nKaro Healthcare has a Diverse & Inclusive environment.
