This role serves as the site subject matter expert for environmental regulatory requirements andleadsthe identification, development, and execution of initiatives to reduce environmental impact.\nA key focus of this position is Scope 1 and Scope 2 energy performance improvement, including identifying, developing, and implementing energy reduction projects across manufacturing and facilities. The role also drives waste reduction initiatives, strengthens environmental management systems, and supports readiness for ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 aligned practices.\nThis role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, and cross-functional teams to ensure environmental compliance while embedding sustainable, data-driven improvements into daily operations.\nEssential Job Functions & Responsibilities:\nEnvironmental Compliance & Governance\nEnsure full compliance with all environmental permits and regulatory requirements, including air, water, wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous waste.\n\nServe as the company representative during environmental inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries.\n\nEstablish,maintain, and continuously improve inspection, auditing, and self-assessment programs to ensure sustained compliance.\n\nInterpret and implement local, state, federal, and corporate environmental standards at the site and business level.\n\nMaintain documentation systems and processes to support audit readiness and regulatory reporting.\n\nEnergy Management & Scope 1/ 2 Reduction\nIdentify, evaluate, and implement energy reduction opportunities across site operations, utilities, and infrastructure (Scope 1 and Scope 2).\n\nIdentifyand prioritize environmental improvement opportunities using data-driven methods.\n\nDrive waste reduction initiativesincludinglandfill diversion, recycling, and process optimization.\n\nDevelop andmaintainenvironmental KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to track progress and performance\n\nSupport implementation of best practices to reduce environmental impact and improve operational efficiency\n\nEnvironment Performance & Continuous Improvement\nLead the Environment Pillar, driving improvements in energy, water, and waste performance.\n\nManage environmental data related to energy, water, waste, and emissions to ensure accuracy and integrity.\n\nIdentifyand prioritize environmental improvement opportunities using data-driven methods.\n\nDrive waste reduction initiativesincludinglandfill diversion, recycling, and process optimization\n\nDevelop andmaintainenvironmental KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to track progress and performance.\n\nSupport implementation of best practices to reduce environmental impact and improve operational efficiency.\n\nEnvironment Management Systems & ISO Readiness\nDefine, implement, and continuously improve environmental management system elements aligned with ISO 14001 principles.\n\nSupport development of energy management system practices aligned with ISO 50001 standards.\n\nEnsure integration of environmental requirements into site processes, procedures, and training programs.\n\nDrive standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement of environmental processes across the site.\n\nQualifications & Requirements:\nSkills & Knowledge:\nStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements\n\nExperience managing environmental permits and regulatory compliance programs.\n\nDemonstrated experienceidentifyingand implementing energy efficiency and performance improvement initiatives\n\nExperience with energy monitoring, energy efficiency, and utility data analysis.\n\nPractical understanding of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions sources and reduction strategies.\n\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret environmental and energy data to drive action.\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead without formal authority.\n\nHigh levelof ownership, accountability, andcontinuous improvementmindset.\n\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degreerequiredin Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering,Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, ora related field.\n\n3-7+ Years of experience in environment compliance, energy management, or industrial environmental performance\n\nMaster’s degree in Sustainable Energy Management, Environmental Management, or a closely related discipline strongly preferred, or equivalent advanced education/experience.\n\nTotal Rewards:\nCompensation Range: $108,000-135,000.00\nTo learn more about our benefits visit https://jobs.lindtusa.com/total-rewards\nLindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions.
