OSINT Combine develops enduring open-source intelligence capability through NexusXplore, an all-in-one, AI-enabled OSINT platform.\nThe Accounting Specialist for Kaseware, Inc. and its Australian subsidiaries NexusXplore Pty Ltd and OSINT Combine Pty Ltd. will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, recording and maintaining financial transactions, reconciling bank accounts, monthly journal entries, intercompany activity, month-end close, and 1099 tax filings.\nThe Accounting Specialist reports to the Chief Financial Officer and contributes to the overall success of the company by maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, team player who can also work autonomously under tight deadlines. They are comfortable with a ‘no job too small’ mentality, a fast-paced environment, and they communicate proactively with the team.\nJob Type: Full-time, Exempt\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nAccounts Payable (Approximately 65%)\nReceiving, reviewing, coding, and entering vendor bills, credit memos, and employee expense documentation accurately and on time\nVerifying appropriate approvals, account coding, supporting documentation, payment terms, and mathematical accuracy before processing\nMaintaining vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, tax forms, and remittance information\nResearching and resolving vendor inquiries\nReconciling vendor statements, accounts payable aging, and the accounts payable subledger to the general ledger\nMonitoring due dates, discounts, recurring bills, and outstanding items to support timely payment and accurate cash management\nMaintaining complete invoice, approval, payment, and vendor documentation for audit and management review\nProcessing domestic and international vendor payments, including multi-currency wires\nIndependently verifying all changes to vendor bank details before processing payments\nCollecting and maintaining vendor tax documentation for each jurisdiction, such as W-9, W-8BEN and Australian ABN details\nPreparing and filing annual 1099 forms\n\nAccounts Receivable (Approximately 20%)\nCreating and distributing accurate customer invoices and credit memos in accordance with contracts, approved billing schedules, and company procedures\nMaintaining customer records, billing contacts, payment terms, tax information, and other required account details\nApplying customer payments, deposits, credits, and adjustments accurately and promptly\nMonitoring accounts receivable aging and following up on past-due balances in a professional and timely manner\nResearching and resolving customer billing questions\nReconciling accounts receivable subledger balances to the general ledger and preparing supporting schedules\nIssuing multi-currency invoices that meet the tax invoice requirements of each jurisdiction, including U.S. sales tax and Australian GST invoices\nInvoicing government customers against purchase orders and through procurement or e-invoicing portals where required\nPreparing AR aging and collections reporting, including DSO, and contributing to cash forecasting\nGeneral Ledger (Approximately 15%)\nRecording and maintaining financial transactions\nPreparing and posting routine monthly journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation\nPreparing monthly bank reconciliations\nProcessing transactions across multiple entities in Sage Intacct, including intercompany invoicing, recharges and reconciliations\nSupporting month-end FX revaluation and multi-currency reconciliations\nSupporting the group month-end close timetable across U.S. and Australian entities\nRequired Education:\nAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field\nRequired Skills and Experience:\n3-5 years of experience working as a bookkeeper, accounts receivable clerk, accounts payable clerk, or relevant accounting role\nAdvanced, hands-on expertise in Sage Intacct contracts module, multi-entity, and multi-currency\nWorking knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and month-end close processes\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to organize, analyze, and reconcile financial data\nAbility to work independently and prioritize workload based on team objectives\nAbility to work in a team environment and have strong coordination, organization, and communication skills\nAbility to use analytical skills to identify, investigate, troubleshoot, and reconcile issues proactively\nExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills\nAbility to effectively multitask and adjust to changing priorities\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines\nAbility to work a flexible schedule including regular early afternoon / evening overlap with Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT)\nOther Requirements:\nLanguage: English\nExperience with Avalara\nExperience with Ramp\nExperience with FloQast\nWorking knowledge of indirect tax including GST/VAT and U.S. sales tax for both payables and receivables.\nExperience supporting both U.S. and international entities, ideally including Australia\nPrior experience working for a growing startup or multinational company operating internationally \nBenefits:\nSalary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 yr DOE\nExcellent health, dental, and vision insurance with generous company contribution\nFlex Spending Accounts\nUnlimited paid vacation\n12 paid company holidays\nPaid Sick Time\nPaid Parental Leave\n401k with company matching\nEcoPass provided for Colorado-based employees\nAbout Kaseware:\nKaseware is a dynamic start-up company located in the Denver metro area.
