We build it.\nPosition Summary:\nKaseya is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the architecture and evolution of its Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Control Plane platform. This role will define the long-term technical strategy for authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, SSO, MFA, and API security while building secure, scalable, and highly available distributed systems. The ideal candidate will drive architectural decisions, modernize legacy identity platforms, collaborate across Product, Security, and Engineering, mentor senior engineers, and establish engineering best practices. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping Kaseya's Identity and API strategy, enabling secure, reliable, and AI-ready platform capabilities across the organization's products and services. \nRequired Qualification:\nExtensive Experience: 10+ years of professional experience building and managing software applications at a massive scale (with at least 5 years at Sr Staff or Principal level).\nIdentity Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of IAM protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML), RBAC/ABAC models, and the security implications of session management at the edge. \nExperience with Active Directory and extensive experience implementing federation protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2).\nExperience in Data Security or related areas and expertise in following--Authentication, Network, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, Detection & Response.
