This is a hands-on systems engineering role focused on Rust, cross-platform development, networking, concurrency, and native operating system integrations. You will independently own complex features from design through production while working closely with endpoint, backend, cloud, and quality engineering teams.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nDesign and build endpoint agent capabilities that run across Windows, macOS, and Linux\n\nDevelop production systems software using Rust, Tokio, and native operating system APIs\n\nCreate cross-platform components for process management, networking, filesystem access, services, and device operations\n\nBuild secure communication between endpoint agents and backend platform services using TLS, WebSockets, gRPC, MQTT, or similar technologies\n\nImprove agent performance, concurrency, resource usage, reliability, security, and upgrade behaviour\n\nOwn features through technical design, implementation, automated testing, release, monitoring, and production support\n\nInvestigate complex endpoint issues, complete root-cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective improvements\n\nParticipate in design reviews and code reviews while supporting other engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing\n\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of software engineering experience building systems software, endpoint agents, device-management software, or similar production applications using C, C++, or Rust\n\n2+ years of experience developing production software using Rust, including asynchronous or concurrent programming with Tokio or a similar runtime\n\nExperience delivering cross-platform native software across Windows, macOS, and Linux using Win32, POSIX, or native macOS APIs\n\nExperience building concurrent or networked software using TLS, WebSockets, gRPC, MQTT, or similar protocols\n\nExperience integrating endpoint or systems software with distributed backend services and supporting it in production\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience building RMM, UEM, EDR, endpoint security, or device-management products\n\nExperience developing performance-sensitive software using C or C++\n\nExperience with AWS services or cloud-connected endpoint platforms\n\nFamiliarity with TypeScript, Python, or related supporting technologies\n\nExperience with GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, CI/CD pipelines, or automated release workflows\n\nContributions to open-source systems software, developer tooling, or platform
