We build it.\nStaff Software Development Engineer in Test (Staff SDET)\nLocation: Onsite - Bangalore\nPosition Type: Full-Time\nPosition Summary\nWe are seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to lead the evolution of our test architecture, automation frameworks, and quality engineering practices. This role will define the strategic direction of quality engineering across distributed cloud-native systems, drive adoption of AI-assisted testing methodologies, and partner with engineering leadership to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure software delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the design, implementation, and evolution of scalable test automation frameworks, quality infrastructure, and testing architecture.\nDefine and drive the strategic vision for quality engineering, aligning automation initiatives with business objectives and product roadmaps.\nChampion AI-assisted testing practices and leverage emerging technologies to improve quality, efficiency, and release velocity.\nPartner with Engineering, Product, and Platform leaders to establish quality priorities, governance, and release confidence measures.\nDrive root cause analysis of complex production and test failures, identifying systemic quality risks and remediation strategies.\nAdvance observability, monitoring, CI/CD quality gates, and release validation processes across cloud-native architectures.\nMentor and provide technical leadership to SDETs and QA engineers.\nLead modernization efforts to reduce test debt, improve tooling, and enhance productivity across development teams.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.\n8+ years of software development and test engineering experience including technical leadership.\nStrong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.\nDeep expertise designing scalable automation frameworks for distributed systems and microservices.\nHands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.\nExtensive experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and load testing.\nStrong debugging and observability experience.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProficiency in Python, JavaScript, C#, or Rust.\nExperience implementing AI-assisted testing solutions.\nStrong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.\nExperience with Docker and Kubernetes.\nExperience with Terraform, Pulumi, or Bicep.\nKnowledge of security testing, vulnerability scanning, and threat modeling.\nExtensive experience with CI/CD platforms and automated quality
