This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and resolution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong litigation background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.\nResponsibilities\nAssist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case management, discovery, motion practice, arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation.\nManage attorney caseloads with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail.\nReview, organize, and analyze case files, pleadings, discovery materials, medical records, and other litigation documents.\nDraft discovery demands and responses, including Interrogatories, Requests for Production, Notices for Discovery and Inspection, Requests for Admission, and Subpoenas.\nCoordinate depositions, summarize deposition transcripts, and prepare case chronologies and timelines.\nReview, summarize, and analyze medical records, accident reports, expert reports, and investigative materials to assist in the defense of claims.\nPrepare trial notebooks, arbitration binders, witness files, exhibit lists, demonstrative exhibits, and hearing materials.\nAssist with drafting motions, correspondence, pleadings, and other litigation-related documents.\nManage document collection, review, redaction, and Bates stamping for production.\nPrepare and process HIPAA authorizations and obtain medical, employment, and other third-party records.\nConduct legal research using LexisNexis and other available resources.\nAssist with electronic filing in State, Federal, and Appellate Courts.\nCoordinate with clients, experts, vendors, court personnel, and opposing counsel as necessary.\nSupport attorneys in the defense of general liability matters, including premises liability, transportation, construction accident, product liability, and other personal injury claims.\nPerform additional duties as needed to support the firm's litigation practice and office operations.\nQualifications\nParalegal Certificate required.\nMinimum of 2-3 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting.\nExperience handling General Liability matters strongly preferred.\nExperience reviewing, summarizing, and analyzing medical records and litigation-related documents.\nKnowledge of State and Federal court procedures and electronic filing systems.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications; experience with NetDocs and LexisNexis is preferred.\nStrong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nDemonstrated attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to client service.\nWhy Join Kaufman Dolowich?\nCompetitive compensation packages along with performance and billable hour-based bonus programs\nComprehensive benefits offerings\nUncapped professional development opportunities\nDynamic, team-oriented, on-site working environment with open communication and support\nSuccessful candidates will have access to exceptional career development opportunities and a competitive total rewards package, including the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses.\nTarget Hiring Range: $65,000 - $85,000\nPlease note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer.
