Apply today!\nPosition Summary:\nThe Field Engineer will assist the Project Manager with the day-to-day construction, technical and administrative aspects of assigned construction projects. This is a field position with PM and field support.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nResponsible for oversite of subcontractors when applicable. This may include resolution of jobsite issues and situations as they arise. Supervision includes use of discretion and independent judgement when dealing with discrepancies and matter of significance on the job.\nKey Responsibilities and Essential Functions:\nIncludes the following, other duties may be assigned.\nPerform project startup\nStudies plans and specifications to understand assigned project\nReview owner contract for project specific requirements\nSend out drawings to subs for pricing/contract award\nHighlight spec book for submittal requirements\nSet up the initial master document set of drawings\nUnderstand and perform document control procedures in accordance with KBE policy and procedures, both on site and electronic\nPrepare all necessary documents\nCoordinate/ Initiate / Complete project close out per specifications and KBE procedures\nCreate and maintain Subcontractor Close Out Compliance\nArrange kick-off meeting\nCompile all necessary project information and documents for project start up\nMaintain document drawings\nMaintain drawings and drawing lists\nApply sketches, addendum portions and incorporate revisions into master document set\nObtain information and approvals required from owner, architect and engineers for timely processing of shop drawings\nReview as-built drawings for compliance and accuracy prior to making monthly subcontractor payments/ Raise identified issues to the Project Manager\nEnsure as-built set is maintained by Superintendent and Subcontractors\nPrepare all final office and field drawing sets for site and electronic filing\nCompile and process RFIs\nResearch and discuss RFIs with Superintendent\nDraft, compile, print and distribute to recipient and others as applicable\nEnter into computer system and follow through on responses\nTrack on possible costs and schedule impact\nMaintain RFI logs and books.\nProcess owner contract revisions, change proposals and change orders\nReview all incoming changes and set up PCO in system\nSend out for pricing/ estimates, as applicable. Maintain RFQ log\nEnsure follow-up on pricing from vendors\nCompile data and distribute change proposals/orders and cover letters including copying, mailing, etc. to appropriate parties\nRevise change proposals/requests as applicable and as a priority\nReview changes with owner and/or consultants as applicable and as a priority\nUpdate change proposal/order logs and review them at weekly subcontractor meetings\nFlag outstanding change orders to PM that may impact timeline or when there is no response from owner\nMaintain all related logs for review at meetings\nPrepare Owner project status reports\nProcess submittals\nReview submittals for accuracy in specifications. Consult Superintendent for all MEP items or items that need clarification\nFollow up with subcontractors and owners for timely turnover of submittals. Make team aware of delinquent submittals\nPrepare the initial submittal log and incorporate due dates\nStamp, initial, package and distribute submittals to and from all parties\nTrack/enter submittals to and from field, consultants and subcontractors\nLabel and file all submittals electronically per procedures\nProcess subcontract change orders\nReview all incoming changes for conformity/validity and set up in system\nSolicit subcontractors pricing and follow requests for pricing\nCompile data and distribute change orders and cover letters including copying, mailing, etc. to all appropriate parties\nPerform various administrative and Project Manager assigned tasks\nCoordinate the scheduling of meetings. Prepare and print all reports necessary for meetings\nReview awarded subcontracts, daily reports and job meeting minutes\nReview Job Status Report and follow up with any non-compliance items\nEnter subcontract contacts into the system\nDistribute project schedules as required\nCompose project related correspondence as required or requested by the Project Manager\nAct as/ provide coverage as Assistant Superintendent as needed on project\nEducation, Experience, & Qualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
