This role serves as a key integrator across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project controls, ensuring work is effectively planned, sequenced, and executed to maximize productivity, improve schedule performance, and deliver safe, predictable project outcomes. The successful candidate will drive alignment among project stakeholders, champion AWP best practices, and provide leadership to optimize project execution throughout the full project lifecycle.\nFunctional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nLead the implementation and governance of the project's Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) strategy.\nDevelop and maintain the overall Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Path of Construction (POC), Construction Work Areas (CWAs), and Installation Work Packages (IWPs).\nCoordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, quality, commissioning, and project controls teams to ensure alignment with AWP objectives.\nEstablish and manage:Engineering Work Packages (EWPs)\nProcurement Work Packages (PWPs)\nConstruction Work Packages (CWPs)\nInstallation Work Packages (IWPs)\nSystem and subsystem turnover packages\n\nEnsure engineering and procurement deliverables are sequenced to support construction readiness and field execution requirements.\nLead Workforce Planning activities to improve labor productivity and minimize field disruptions.\nMonitor construction readiness, material availability, engineering completion, and constraints management.\nFacilitate regular readiness reviews and package status meetings with project stakeholders.\nCollaborate with project controls to align package development with project schedules and forecasting tools.\nDevelop and track AWP performance metrics, productivity indicators, and readiness dashboards.\nIdentify risks and constraints impacting package execution and implement mitigation plans.\nSupport modularization, heavy lift planning, commissioning readiness, and system turnover strategies.\nTrain project personnel and contractors on AWP methodologies, standards, and best practices.\nPromote continuous improvement and lessons-learned initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.\nRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline; however equivalent construction experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.\nMinimum 10 years of experience supporting major industrial construction projects.\nMinimum 5 years of direct experience implementing and managing Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) programs on large capital projects.\nDemonstrated experience on LNG, petrochemical, refinery, gas processing, power generation, mining, or other large industrial projects.\nStrong knowledge of:Advanced Work Packaging (AWP)\nWorkforce Planning (WFP)\nConstruction Work Packages (CWPs)\nInstallation Work Packages (IWPs)\nPath of Construction (POC)\nConstruction readiness processes\nConstraint management\nProject controls and scheduling\nMechanical completion and turnover planning\n\nExperience working within EPC, EPCM, or owner-led project environments.\nStrong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning workflows.\nProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence project execution strategies.\nExcellent communication, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.\nPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills:\nDirect SAGD project experience strongly preferred.\nAWP Professional Certification (AWP Certification Institute or equivalent) preferred.\nFamiliarity with Primavera P6, Power BI, InEight, Hexagon, Smart Construction, or other project execution and AWP software platforms.\nExperience with modular construction, fabrication yards, and global procurement programs.\nPMP certification is a plus.\nExperience supporting projects exceeding $1 billion in total installed cost.\nDecarbonization - Energy Transition - Sustainability\nKBR Benefits\nKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
