The analyst will evaluate adversary capabilities to generate, distribute, maintain, and protect precise timing while assessing associated dependencies, vulnerabilities, and modernization efforts.\nThis position directly supports national-level intelligence production and provides critical insights into foreign capabilities that underpin communications, navigation, weapon systems, financial networks, power grids, space systems, and command and control infrastructures.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct technical intelligence analysis of foreign timing systems, capabilities, and supporting technologies.\nAssess adversary development and employment of atomic clocks, frequency standards, precision oscillators, timing sources, and synchronization technologies.\nAnalyze timing architectures supporting military, commercial, and critical infrastructure applications.\nEvaluate timing resiliency strategies, backup timing capabilities, and alternative PNT solutions.\nCharacterize foreign efforts to improve timing accuracy, stability, availability, and continuity.\nAssess dependencies between foreign timing capabilities and navigation, communications, cyber, space, and command-and-control systems.\nAnalyze vulnerabilities, limitations, and potential failure points within adversary timing architectures.\nTrack foreign research, development, testing, acquisition, and deployment of advanced timing technologies.\nIntegrate intelligence reporting, open-source information, technical measurements, and scientific literature into comprehensive assessments.\nProduce high-quality intelligence reports, technical papers, capability assessments, and executive briefings.\nCollaborate with engineers, scientists, intelligence analysts, and operational stakeholders across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.\nSupport future capability forecasting and technology trend analysis related to timing and PNT systems.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.\n3+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, PNT systems, timing technologies, RF systems, communications, space systems, or related technical fields.\nActive TS/SCI security clearance.\nKnowledge of precision timing concepts and associated technologies.\nExperience conducting technical research and analytical assessments.\nStrong written and oral communication skills.\nAbility to communicate highly technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nDemonstrated critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting NSIC, DIA, Space Force, Air Force, NGA, NSA, or other Intelligence Community organizations.\nKnowledge of atomic clocks, cesium standards, rubidium standards, hydrogen masers, optical clocks, and frequency transfer techniques.\nFamiliarity with GPS timing, GNSS timing services, terrestrial timing networks, and alternative timing architectures.\nExperience analyzing foreign military modernization programs and emerging technologies.\nUnderstanding of telecommunications, network synchronization, and timing distribution systems.\nExperience with modeling and simulation tools, data analytics, or scientific programming environments such as Python or MATLAB.\nFamiliarity with electronic warfare, cyber operations, and their impacts on timing systems.\nExperience producing finished intelligence products and briefing senior leaders.\nDesired Competencies\nStrong technical curiosity regarding foreign technological advancements.\nAbility to identify trends, dependencies, and strategic implications from disparate data sources.\nExcellent writing skills with experience producing publication-quality intelligence products.\nStrong briefing and presentation skills.\nAbility to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.\nAttention to detail and commitment to analytic rigor.\nLeveling: Position may be filled at the Engineer/Analyst II, Senior, or Principal level based on education, experience, technical expertise, and demonstrated impact in intelligence or engineering disciplines.\nBelong, Connect and Grow at KBR\nAt KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
