Reporting to the Construction Lead, this role is responsible for coordinating contractor activities, supporting the successful delivery, qualification, and startup of the client's bioconjugate manufacturing operations.\nFunctional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nConstruction Leadership\nServe as the owner's representative on site and be responsible for delivering the project safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.\nLead all site construction activities from mobilization through startup and handover.\nManage EPCM contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project execution.\nCoordinate construction, engineering, procurement, CQV, and operations teams.\nMonitor project progress, identify risks, and implement recovery plans as needed.\nEnsure compliance with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and owner expectations.\nProvide regular reporting and strategic recommendations.\nContractor Management\nDirect and oversee EPCM contractors, subcontractors, and construction management teams.\nMonitor contractor performance against established safety, schedule, cost, and quality metrics.\nConduct regular construction progress reviews and executive status meetings.\nResolve contractor performance issues and facilitate recovery plans when required.\nEnsure contractor compliance with contractual obligations and owner requirements.\nSafety Leadership\nChampion a \"Zero Incident\" safety culture throughout the project.\nEnsure compliance with all corporate HSE standards, local regulations, and industry best practices.\nParticipate in safety audits, field inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action programs.\nLead construction safety performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.\nSchedule Management\nValidate construction schedules and execution plans\nMonitor progress against project milestones and critical path activities.\nIdentify schedule risks and implement mitigation and recovery strategies.\nCoordinate work sequencing and site logistics to optimize construction productivity.\nProvide accurate schedule forecasting and reporting to project leadership.\nCost Control\nOversee construction budgets and field change management processes.\nReview and approve contractor progress reports and earned value performance.\nIdentify cost risks, growth opportunities, and mitigation strategies.\nEnsure proper evaluation and management of change orders and claims.\nQuality Assurance\nEnsure construction activities comply with design specifications, project standards, and contractual requirements.\nParticipate in quality surveillance and inspection programs.\nMonitor non-conformance reporting and corrective action implementation.\nVerify turnover and completion packages meet commissioning requirements.\nRisk Management\nIdentify and manage construction-related risks and opportunities.\nDevelop mitigation plans for safety, labor, material, weather, productivity, and execution risks.\nSupport project risk reviews and contingency management processes.\nLead issue resolution efforts to minimize impacts to project objectives.\nCommissioning and Startup Support\nCoordinate transition from construction to commissioning and startup.\nEnsure system completions are executed in accordance with turnover plans.\nSupport operational readiness and training activities.\nFacilitate smooth handover to operations and asset management teams.\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation\nBS in Construction Management, Engineering or related technical discipline, or related experience in lieu of a degree\nExperience\nMinimum 20 years of progressively responsible construction management experience.\nMinimum 10 years in leadership roles on large industrial, petrochemical, energy, pharmaceutical, mining, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.\nDemonstrated experience managing projects valued at $500 million or greater.\nExperience serving as owner's representative on major EPC or EPCM projects.\nProven record of delivering complex projects safely and successfully.\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced knowledge of construction execution methods and contractor management.\nStrong understanding of engineering, procurement, commissioning, and startup processes.\nExpertise in project controls, scheduling, cost management, and risk management.\nKnowledge of contract administration and claims management.\nFamiliarity with Primavera P6, project controls systems, and construction management software.\nKBR Benefits\nKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
