In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role - protecting our national security.\nWhy Join Us?\nInnovative Projects: KBR’s work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.\n\nCollaborative Environment: Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.\n\nImpactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.\n\nThis is a contingent position based upon contract award\nKBR is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer to support a procurement providing Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support to an IC/DoD government customer within the Washington DC Metropolitan area.\nThe Chief Systems Engineers will assist in leading engineering teams in taking a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAssist the Government in directing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the NSG, ASG and Federal Agencies.\n\nAssist with the planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architecture traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.\n\nAdvise the Government on proposed changes to the solution designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology.\n\nAssist the Government in the capture and translation of mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.\n\nSupport the analysis and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs.\n\nAssist the Government in performing systems integration activities.\n\nAssist in leading AoAs, CoAs, Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.\n\nAssist the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface design.\n\nProvide expert advice to the Government in the areas of relating vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, process, and capability developments.\n\nAssis the government in modernization of infrastructure and capabilities.\n\nOversee and coordinate the work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level contractor Systems Engineers.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n18+ years of experience\n\nMaster’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree.\n\nActive TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a Poly required\n\nExpert-level experience in relevant work areas including DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, Planning Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES)\n\nProcess, or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.\n\nExpert-level experience with systems engineering lifecycle.\n\nExtensive experience within the DoD/IC.\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nDemonstrated experience with MBSE, processes, tools and languages.\n\nSoftware Development Framework certification.\n\nINCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.\n\nDemonstrated experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.\n\nDemonstrated experience in the development of Digital Engineering Ecosystems and Digital Twins.\n\nDemonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and other IC Enterprises.\n\nAdditional Compensation:\nKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
